Let’s talk about Saturday's match though. This one is particularly interesting… and that’s because of Wicked ‘Dodgesack’ Cossack. I mean… I’m not even sure many people realized he was still playing. And even fewer would have expected him to sign up for a tournament!! He’s just not a competitive kind of guy… just a humble chap who would rather avoid the limelight (or stress?). If you dig deep into the ESOC archives though, you’ll find his last showing was back in the 2016 Autumn Championship where he was knocked out by _H2O in the Ro16 (though he did take an impressive win off the waterboy, see this video).
WickedCossack is for a sure an enigma. Not much tournament history to go off. Many people did not expect him to show up so on form. He’s played some impressive series this tournament, particularly against Mitoe where he almost qualified in one of the closest, most nail-biting series I have ever had the pleasure to cast. If this tournament has revealed anything… it’s that WickedCossack is a formidable opponent and stands a good shot competing in the LAN. The one thing we know for certain is that his India is a force to be reckoned with...
So watch out Prince. I’m sure he’s prepared though.... Kabul graduated top of his class in the _SKG_ Clan and has been involved in numerous secret raids in SomppuKunkku’s bedroom. He has over 780 confirmed wins with a winrate of 70%. That’s 7 ****ing victories for every 10 games played... You are nothing to him but just 4 free wins WC. He will wipe you the **** out with precision the likes of which has never been seen before on ESO, mark my ****ing words. You think you can qualify for the LAN against this guy on the internet? Think again. As we speak he is contacting his secret network of spies across Finland right now to figure out your meme decks and advanced wonder strats so you better prepare for the storm, maggot. The storm that wipes out the pathetic little thing you call your tournament life. You’re ****ing dead, kid. He can be at any treasure, anytime, and can snare your explorer from seven screens away, and that’s just with his explorer. If only you could have known what unholy retribution your little "clever" sign up was about to bring down upon you, etc etc… okay okay... that’s enough of that dumb Twitch Navy Seal copypasta meme...
Seriously now though… PrinceofKabul is actually pretty good. He had a rocky start this tournament, initially losing 3-1 to iamturk in the Round of 32 but since then has put up a solid performance in the lower bracket with some pretty convincing victories over GuA, Conquerer & Umeu. His most recent game vs Aizamk was much closer though but ultimately he did previal. Prince has a lot of tournament history and experience having played years of AoE3 often making it through to the later Ro16s & Semifinals. His strongest performance was a 2nd place finish in the ESOC 2016 Invitational where he defeated Kaiserklein 2-0 to play against Diarouga in the finals who did end up winning.
Saturday’s match should be pretty exciting. Will the SKG field a second contender? Or will WickedCossack prove too dominant? We’re about to find out.
