Re: Beta Map Discussion
1) It's not really a beta related discussion, more like a tournament map discussion.
I think that low resources/no TP maps should just be removed, every time it's just Russia/India because the other civs are not viable. High resources no TP maps like Pampa Sierras are great however.
2) Regarding the EP map pools, I'd like to see a TP map pool because in some MUs you just have to rehost when you get no TP maps.

ESO-C Team maps
Adirondacks : This map is fine
Alaska : This map is fine
Arkansas : This map is fine
Baja California : This map isn't fine, tc's are too seperated
Bengal : This map is fine
Cascade Range : This map is fine
Colorado : This map isn't fine, tc's are seperated
Florida : This map is fine
Fertile Crescent : This map is fine, ( maybe add regular 2nd hunt? )
Gran chaco : This map isn't fine, tc's are seperated
High Plains : This map is fine
Hudson Bay : This map is fine
Kamchatka : This map is fine
Manchuria : This map is fine
Mendocino : This map isnt's fine, hard to balance it since the middle cliff is big,
Pampas Sierras : This map is fine,
could add some maps from RE I think, some maps like Yellowriverdry or Yukon, Gran chaco could be replaced with them. also klondike was a great map no idea why its removed

Re: Beta Map Discussion
Maps are all fine. If anything balance treasure sets.
Re: Beta Map Discussion
Ye treasure set is something we can look into.
At first I was thinking of removing all the garbage treasures, however 2 problems arise:
1) there will be too many good treasures on every map. So the total amount should be reworked which is both a lot of work and can potentially raise other problems.
2) some of the garbage treasures are in fact nice for the game and in any case make so that you have to scout and, yes, be a bit lucky to find the good ones. You don't want every map to be just a mop up.
I think we can remove those treasures that are simply never ever good (not even in team), e.g 2 cows protected by a shit ton of cougars and stuff like that.
Also I'd remove the nootka and the inca treasures since they're just too impactful and we don't seem to find a fix for it (a potential fix is to remove snare from every single native unit, but I'm not sure we want that).

Re: Beta Map Discussion
Yea, remove nootka and ince treasures please. Also give toma a negative multiplier against villagers, that way the toma is still good against explorer/treasure guardians/units but shouldn't be able to kill a vill for free.

Re: Beta Map Discussion
Absolutely. Those native treasures are disgusting (surprised?). Cherokee too. Scouts are okay though the 2 scout treasure is kinda crappy. The surgeon/medicine man treasures are complete trash too. There's others as well but those are for starters.
Still though if you're gunna open the whole 'treasure' debate that could spiral insanely out of control. It also directly affects civs that have better scouting capabilities, better treasure hunting capabilities and all the rest of it. This might be desirable considering one of those civs is Spain but I'm just putting it out there.
