Mandarin Duck Squad will lock civilizations first in Game 2. Then players will alternate in locking civilizations first. Remember, you must play 3 different civilizations before there will be a civilization reset.

No idea when, moving house might not have internet for awhile, need to test mobile data connection, if not probably gonna have to skip week 1

If the mobile data connection doesn't prove playable we could potentially move this week's match to next week but then you guys would need to play two matches the following week which could get messy. Hopefully it works out.

Hazza and I tried earlier and weren't able to connect via his phone. We can probably play 2 matches next week, or we could also try putting in our subs?

Hazza could possibly use a VPN. VPN is out of the question for me though as I'm so far away from any VPN servers that it adds 100-200 ping to the game.

@Mitoe @Hazza54321 If you guys are keen, playing next week is fine too, just be aware it'll get quite hectic. Another solution is for both of you to bring in substitutes.

FTJ, and yes, it is just Hazza. I could possibly still connect to him via a VPN on my end though.

Nah, he just needs a vpn, Windscribe works and take like 5 secs to setup assuming he's tethering to his pc from his phone.

I'm not disagreeing with you, I'm just disputing the fact that because it's on Hazza's end it means that we wouldn't be able to connect if I was the one using a VPN; I'm pretty sure it could.

I agree that the optimal solution here is for Hazza to use a VPN.

I mean we tested today and me and miggo could connect to hazza on the net but i'm not sure what the problem is with others ftj, could potentially try again after restarting the game or something

Thing is VPN + phone data + distance between NA and europe + casters might make it quite laggy. I guess it's worth a try though, try if you don't have too much lag in a regular game (and if you can actually join each other too). Otherwise I guess we'll send the subs

The thing is that mobile internet works through radio waves, which have a tendency to get lost every once in a while. When that happens, data has to be sent over multiple times until it succeeds, which can result in jitter and lagg. I fear that mobile internet is usually just not consistent enough to play games competitively. If it were me I would probably ask someone if I could make use of their connection for a few hours. Up to Hazza though!
