Isn't it a requirement to post on forums to schedule and post POV recs and discuss if you are playing or not..?

It was honestly bullshit that he never had to post recs. I don't understand why that was allowed.

4.7 - One-Touch Forfeiture: Once a player has expressed that he has forfeited the match, he will be disqualified from the tournament and not permitted to continue playing. Having an insufficient reason for forfeiting may result in a tournament ban.
Forfeiting a match for no reason needs to have consequences, such as a tournament ban from x next events, otherwise we'll continue to see this behavior.
So when they tell you their father had a heart attack and that's why they forfeit, are you going to actually ask them to provide proof?

This rule is not realistically enforcable.

That's not what it's stating. It only says a reason, not proof. The reason in this instance was...because he didn't want to increase his post... count....

So, hear me out here.. What prevents people from making something up? Again, unless you are asking for proof (which would be ridiculously insensitive by the way), you can't enforce this rule because you can't prevent people from making something up.

The rule is enforceable. If a player has to forfeit for personal/irl reasons we are receptive to that - solutions can even be made so that the player doesn't have to forfeit. That was not the case here.

At the end of the day, it's first really annoying for people involved in the event if the scheduling isn't done on ESOC, It's also unfair if all players post recs and one doesn't because it gives a competitive advantage especially when the game isn't casted.

Noel could just have posted the recs... Umeu said it would have been fine for him and as an admin I think it's the behavior I would expect from Noel rather than taking advantage of it to go to the semi.
Anyway that's really stupide from both side.

The winner is obligated to post the recorded games, schedule in the thread, and otherwise have a functioning forum account in order to be able to participate in an ESOC event.

Sustaining the disqualification was decided by the tournament admins outside of n0eL, so no, he’s not taking advantage of anything.

Noel didn't take advantage of this at all, what are you on about? It's all about umeu being a child not wanting 10k posts.

This isn't a detective agency. If someone says they have a personal reason ok. If it sounds legitimate then fine, if not then take not for next time. Multiple times then consider not allowing them in.

This one's reaaalllyyy weird. Not sure bout the miggo one, I don't think that's his first either, but I haven't heard his reason either.

PS: did the forfeit happen before or after the Rapa series started?

I think I misphrased that. I meant to say that theres nothing to prevent people from lying about why they forfeit. So they might just claim something like that their father had a heart attack. Such an example also clearly indicates how personal such a reason can be, to the point where its unreasonable to ask for proof. That just reinforces the fact that this rule is not enforcable. If you enforce it, you just punish honest people.

So pathetic, and shows the real face of the guy, just because a staff member posted recs from his account ( which he anyway supposed to do by himself ) then shit talks around and forfeit the tournament. HOW SAD!
