RE: Numerous double disqualifications in the Qualifiers stage of the Beginner Division

Situation: A large number of double disqualifications occurred because of no-shows in the Beginner Division Qualifiers stage. Because of this, the tournament bracket is quite patchy, with some players having no opponent until the Ro64.

Result: To fill the holes in the tournament, players who were defeated in a Qualifiers match will be re-entered into the tournament by granting them the seed where a double disqualification occurred. This means that they will receive a bye to the Round of 128 to play against someone who otherwise would not have an opponent. Basically, players who were defeated in the Qualifiers that proved active and willing enough to schedule and complete their matches, will be granted a second tournament life.

Log of substitutions:

@zatoriyakiro will substitute in place of mohmid vs timmo34 and play against @Blastkiller in the Round of 128
@ismailtemur1 will substitute in place of azerty456 vs slob16 and play against @gks13 in the Round of 128
@Rokovoi will substitute in place of Mc_FlamesOMG vs OOTAIWAN and play against @Zutazuta in the Round of 128
@rodr_o will substitute in place of A_Pecer vs Maximilian_I and play against @husuhang3 in the Round of 128
@TheOneVanguard will substitute in place of East_Turk vs Depthsuntold and play against @sofiavv in the Round of 128
@Mastermind4090 will substitute in place of shiptor vs javad and play against @FireBirdz in the Round of 128
@Hellblazer0207 will substitute in place of _DisTRict_ vs Slothyness and play against @richard in the Round of 128
@NoobDeck will substitute in place of Prince_Aslan vs DarkCrepy and play against @LaplaceArrow in the Round of 128
@Liberticide will substitute in place of duketatertot vs Terminatorclonk and play against @fishboyy in the Round of 128
@tinmar44 will substitute in place of Slimy_simon vs Vlaandeerfeld and play against @AndChe in the Round of 128
@Narotics007 will substitute in place of yoda611 vs tiagomelo22 and play against @bronzeghost123 in the Round of 128

RE: TheLastSamurai vs LordRaphael

Situation: Players originally scheduled to play the match on Wednesday at 19:00 GMT. About 40 minutes before the match, TLS cancelled due to being ill. The players were asked to reschedule - and struggled to agree on a time. Raphael preferred to play after 20 GMT while TLS preferred to play at 17 GMT. Both players were unable to reach a compromise in the generous extension they were granted.

In our opinion, this match could have been played out easily if both players were more eager to communicate and compromise with each other. However, when weighing up various facts the admins came to the conclusion that TLS is responsible for the match not being played. TLS canceled the original appointment with Raphael just 30 minutes before the scheduled time. At the rescheduled date, TLS went offline just as Raphael came online to start the match. Moreover, TLS insulted and demeaned his opponent multiple times in a clear violation of rule 1.4. This is not good sportsmanship and this is not something we like to see in tournaments. All things considered, the admin team deems it fit to disqualify TLS from the tournament and advance Raphael. Seeing as the match is already way behind schedule, there will not be a replacement match.

Result: @The_Lastsamurai is disqualified from the ESOC Winter Championship and @lordraphael moves on to the Finals of the Advanced Division. The 3rd place of the Advanced Division will be defaulted to @princeofkabul and the 4th place earnings will be redisbursed to the rest of the prize-winning division.

RE: anseladams vs. Patrick20872

Situation: Anseladams did not show up at the agreed time and instead arrived 1.5 hours later. After multiple random pauses, he finally pauses indefinitely around the 7 minute mark. He was paused for 20+ minutes and did not return. Footage made by Patrick20872 confirms this version of events.

Result: Patrick20872 will advance to the Semi-Finals.

RE: Sargsyan vs. Lord_Proper, Lord_Proper vs. Patrick20872

Situation: From the Quarter-Finals onwards, Risi123 was found out to be smurfing on the account of Lord_Proper. The tournament admins figured this out through careful analysis of the acquired evidence. After being questioned, both players have admitted their involvement in the smurfing affair. We apologize to all those affected on Lord_Proper's side of the bracket and we hope our actions discourage anyone from cheating in the future.

Result: @Lord Proper and @risi123 are both handed 6-month tournament bans with a review of the case set to September 15th, 2020. @Sargsyan will move on to the Semi-Finals to face @Patrick20872. The winner and loser, respectively, will move on the Finals and the Bronze-Finals to face @stanleywinston and @Klestree.
