The English language does evolve/change with time. This game came out in 2005 so I think the unit names can evolve with time.

It's an arbitrary change that doesn't need to be changed though. It's like renaming Skirmisher's Skirms because most people use the shortened version.

cuz Russian muskets is the only common unit with unique stats that are different to every other musket. Dutch get their unique muskets

On a related note. I remember watching a documentary a bazillion years ago, and they talked about the "Streltsy." Why does aoe3 call them Strelet?
Also why does bazillion not get flagged by the spell checker?

"Streltsy" is plural, and refers to units of elite infantry in the Russian Army as well as the social class from which they were traditionally recruited. There is no singular form of the word, so the game devs made one up.
