GRANDE EP9 VOTE

Here's a simple and efficient idea.

Any team or individual can create a patch. EP9. After some time (a few weeks) all of the people who fulfill certain requirements can vote the patch/patch team of their favourite. (no somalian brothers) AND THE MOST VOTED PATCH IS SELECTED.
Then this patch is kept 6 months/1 year and no fucking changes every other week until a certain time there is a new, similar vote.

This would only have some limitation, like being serious. No spawning with monster trucks.
This would be
a) fucking easy
b) democratic way

Then vote when this happens GARJA's patch again.

By that time, DE is likely either already released or almost released, so this plan doesn't make sense to me. A year from now there won't be another vote, because EP development will be already ended and people move over to DE (presumably/hopefully).
You're suggesting to go for an all-in bet on a single poll to potentially throw away what we've worked on for the past 5 years or so. Going to vote "no" on this one.

I'm going all in to believe this community to vote rationally and the most active players to work together for this. Then let's go in. It's better than current situation nobody likes.
DE is coming out soon. That's why I'm going for a very easy option.

Well if EP is going to be discontinued as soon as DE comes out in one year or so, I don't even see the point of all those balance and design discussions. Surely the state of the game now is good enough for one single year of play...

It is because changes made in EP today could be implemented in DE.

If they are willing to take community input into account, I'd bet they would still do it after DE comes out. I'm sure also that they would not want to take changes from a controversial recent patch too.
