Germany also got the (well-deserved) XP nerf reverted, so I think with a transition TP the fixed crate situation will be just fine. It's literally a buff for them after a certain point.

I think coin start for germany but lower shipment penalty is great design. It vastly improves their no-tp and 'i lost my tp early' performance, encourages a market start, and allows for the potential uhlan hp revert. This is a good step forward

I was thinking, if people find germany's start a bit too weak, we could always throw in 1 more coin crate, making market opener much stronger as well as a ff a little bit faster

Japan is a civilization we want to be very careful with, especially since the nerf to Trading Posts is arguably a significant buff. Shrine cost was originally changed to help stabilize the civ a bit on non-wood starts. Now that crates are fixed, it may no longer be necessary.
OTTOMAN
- Mosque cost increased to 150w (from 100w)
With fixed crates, getting a Mosque + TP is a little bit too obvious. This should add a bit of decision making in the early game. Either gather 50w for the extra XP income, or save to age more quickly.
- Mosque XP trickle increased to 0.75xp (from 0.7)
Should hopefully not be a problem since the Mosque is harder to get now, and will also help Otto on non-TP maps where other civs also have a slight buff now.
PORTUGUESE
- Cassador ROF REVERTED to 3.0 (from 4.5)

Yeah I mean, I don't think anyone wants to chop 50w for the mosque in age 1. It's like 80 less food towards your age up, which is kinda a lot as otto. Also 0.75 xp for 150w is crap or is it just me?
I'd rather have people build the mosque every game than have people float 100w every game in age 1 because there's no way to spend it.
