It's nice of the admins to assign the good players who forgot to claim their civ the most likely civ they'd claim.

maybe so, but for some who may've read the rules and decided they'd think about their civ selection a little bit more before confirming, then unfortunately forgotten to do so, being punished heavily for that by getting a civ they've never played would be pretty demoralizing. it might amount to more people no-showing the tournament; that is, showing up, but being forced to play a terrible civ because they missed out on the civ-selection rule... at that point why even play

Also, why not be nice? It's not as if this is something official, it's for fun.

It's like having a meetup with friends. If they show up late, I don't just go back home.

No, but you grill them for being late or actually leave if it's too late. Its same you don't disqualify them but leave them to fate of civ wheel.


Also if it's for just fun, why have prizepool? Can you imagine same amount of people signing up for event for "just fun"

The amount of people taking tournaments casually is ridiculously high.

To be honest I probably wouldn't have signed up for this one if there was no prize money.

I have two questions about this tournament/EPL2.

1. Why the fuck you @u1302 sign up when you lag terribly. Everybody is going to hate your absolutely terrible lag. Signing up is exteremely selfish when you perfectly know that playing against your lag is no fun at all. But hey no worries, Russia is a good civ for lagging. Now time to spread lag to Epl!

There were past tournaments where kynesie lagged harder than anyone ever, and he was allowed in. Thats just dumb to tell soldier to not sign up for the tournament.

1. He didn't lag harder than soldier on rated, somehow on certain tourney games lag tripled.

Can do but it's going to be for top 30 players, not public obviously. Audience doesn't have to play against you in ie. epl.
