This is one of the most anticipated and closely followed series of week 5 for a lot rests on the result. Winner is most likely guaranteed a spot in play-offs of EPL 2. Current score is NWC 59 and MDS 54. Barring unlikely results from other matches, here are some playoffs case scenarios.
Case NWC - NWC needs at least a result of 11-14 to safely qualify.
Case MDS - MDS needs at least a result of 16-9 to safely qualify.
Case Tie - Score of MDS 15 - 10 NWC will result in a tie.
If I interpret rules correctly the first criteria for rule breaker is the # of weeks won. In this case it becomes tie as both MDS and NWC would have 3 weeks won. Second criteria is the result of the week between teams vying for a spot in playoffs. In this case as MDS won the week I presume they should pass through. All in all MDS needs at least 15-10 barring any outside unlikely results to pass through.
NWC so far has been the best team in terms of wins. Don’t be fooled though, there have been misplays and under-performances which can very likely cost them a spot in the playoffs.
Sitting 5 points behind NWC at spot 3 are MDS. They are lucky to have luck in their own hand. Their performance against NWC is going to decide whether they will play in the playoffs or not. They haven’t had the best season, though better than EPL 1.
MDS (15) vs (10) NWC
KINGofOsmane (4) vs (1) SoldieR
Osmane has the advantage of having played a slightly stronger opponent in terms of OPTI while SolR got to milk both rusty Lukas and Lecastete. I think SolR is likely going to struggle against Osmane’s playstyle. I would expect SolR to take 1 game but that is all.
Mitoe (2) vs (3) diarouga
Both Champs, both got milked by Kaiser, both have forgettable season. In Fact both even have the same score (11-9). Mitoe dropping 2 games against rusty turk and Lukas is a bit worrying and hence I expect diarouga to perform slightly better and take 3 games.
Jerimuno (3) vs (2) Ezad
Jerimuno started strong in the first week but has lost every single week after, though closely. Ezad on the other hand lost the first week but won every single week after. To some extent Ezad had weaker opposition throughout compared to Jerimuno. He is riding high on confidence but I think Jerimuno should pull through with a close 3-2
minimoult21 (3) vs (2) Stanley_Winston
Stanley started his run strongly by whitewashing bwinner but then ?!?!?! He did manage to recompense some of his week 2 and 3 losses by going 4-1 against a lieutenant. minimoult21 on the other hand has had a fairly close and consistent season so far. This series will be close but I will go ahead and make a fairly optimistic prediction.
Pérez (3) vs (2) King_Ownage2nd
I know King and his gameplay/playstyle to some extent. I know his main civ India is nerfed which puts him at slight disadvantage. I don’t know Pérez much and have not seen his game much, but the way NWC champ is crying and whining about him I presume he is a force to reckon with. I will give the edge to Pérez but 2-3 is just as likely.
