WHAT does check your stove means? And how do you do it?

Max 5k, probably less.

Reasons:

- potential server issues
- new people buying it often won't just jump online, but play offline
- in contrast, "old players" are not so numerous
- many players who would play online might not have PCs able to run it

So you take like the currently somewhat active player base of say 3k (?) at max, add a few new players, remove those who can't run it.

People are hyped AF for this, many people will make a comeback, and ESO regularly pulls 3-4k people daily as it is. If we include comebacks and newly interested, it can easily end up to 15k+

Well, there will most likely be no way to check how many are on multiplayer. Should guess total Steam players instead. AoE2:DE had 21800 of those, for comparison.

Would say anywhere between 5k-15k. It's probably going to depend on how well their upcoming MP stress tests go, since if people aren't happy then, it'll likely be the same at launch.

Ya would be nice to know both. There could be a number of players online like on eso. But then I guess it would just be like screenshots or whatever people saw the max was.

I don't think there's gonna be a lot of people, I mean, even when aoe 3 was released, there was not 10K players on it (if i'm right looking to the stat ?) so how an "edit" of a 15 yo game can bring more people than when it was new ? even the hype for this kind of game is less important than back in the day, so I don't think the peak gonna be so high, and aoe 3 will never work as much as aoe 2,

if you are not into aoe 3, aoe 3 DE just look like a little edit to make money, so not intersting, people will more be interting in aoe 4, who will more sound like a new game
