De: can your PC run it?
Hi guys.
Don’t think this sort of thread has been made
When de releases in the very near future, will you be able to play it right away with your current set up? Will your PC be able to cope with it?
I’m sure I’m not the only one worried about this lol

I think mine will, but not at full capacity.
not sure how good a radeon 7 graphics card is and only (lol) have 8GB with 6.94 useable ram (we used to measure these in MB)
3.5ghtz though.

Re: De: can your PC run it?
AoE 3 is best enjoyed on the lowest graphic settings already, so I expect to do the same with DE
Dromedary Scone Mix is not Alone Mix
Re: De: can your PC run it?
I play age two de on the lowest available settings. If I do the same with age three de I hope it will be able to deal with it.
Re: De: can your PC run it?
I think I will be able to run it, but not as smoothly as I'd like.
Right now I'm on [email protected] CPU, which is getting a little rusty.
Will most likely build a new PC soon after release.

Re: De: can your PC run it?
i've tried playing aoe2 DE on the lowest settings with my laptop and it gets very choppy very fast, to where its probably unplayable for actual competitive multiplayer. right now i play aoe3 on the lowest settings. so yea I am a little worried
Re: De: can your PC run it?
Yes. Rx 5700xt with a 3600x should handle it just fine.

Use the big bucks esoc pays you to buy a new pcEAGLEMUT wrote:I think I will be able to run it, but not as smoothly as I'd like.

I heard Garja's brain is so smart and developed, he can run the game in his head!

I have an 8gb ram, barring which every other spec can match recommended or more.
What settings do i have to lower to run the game optimally?

Re: De: can your PC run it?
I don't think changing any setting will help much, what you need to do is close other programs (internet browser, discord..) while playing, so that the RAM you do have can be utilized by AoE3 rather than going elsewhere.Kanoo wrote:I have an 8gb ram, barring which every other spec can match recommended or more.

Re: De: can your PC run it?
That plus zooming in a great deal is very important if you have to work with limited RAM. The more zoomed in you are, the less RAM related hiccups will happen.EAGLEMUT wrote:I don't think changing any setting will help much, what you need to do is close other programs (internet browser, discord..) while playing, so that the RAM you do have can be utilized by AoE3 rather than going elsewhere.Kanoo wrote:I have an 8gb ram, barring which every other spec can match recommended or more.

By that you mean i should preferably play in normal view and not in the very far view that i usually play?aaryngend wrote:That plus zooming in a great deal is very important if you have to work with limited RAM. Re: De: can your PC run it?
When I first played aoe3, it was on a 22" screen with 1440 × 900 resolution I think, heavily zoomed in. That's when I still used arrow keys to move the mapKanoo wrote:Okay, that's not good lol.
Idk how cheap 16GB of RAM is where you live, maybe that is an option too?
Re: De: can your PC run it?
Haha, that must have been something!
Yeah, its okay. But it'd preferably wait for an amazon sale as my router needs an upgrade as well.
Thanks :)

Re: De: can your PC run it?
It should run good on my system. r5 [email protected], rtx2060, 16GB Mem at 3200MHz should be more than enough.

Re: De: can your PC run it?
I have 8 and run AoE2DE with 0 lag. Haven't played any 4v4s tho
Re: De: can your PC run it?
