I'm excited for the Art of War missions, the campaign... not so much.
Really liked Art of War in aoe2:DE. I think I even earned all the gold medals.

I replayed the Shadow campaign recently in an anticipation of the DE. It's... pathetic, to be honest. Let's hope the DE one will be better. Right? Right?

tbh many of the warchief campaign was not very good. Battle of Yorktown was surprisingly dull upon replay and most of the shadow one range from weird to boring. I remember the one where you find crazy horse having bizarre map pathing and perspective.

I agree. Even though that level is stupidly unchallenging, it is also quite colourful and fun.

Little Big horn on the other hand is terrible. No matter what you do, the arriving enemy army has no chance winning against you. I remember how once I didn't even build an army and let them destroy my town, only to then ride in with some anticav and snipe Custer and win.

But tbh the same can be said of virtually every mission, in every campaign in this game. AI retardedness makes it easy no matter the number of units enemy has spawned.

I just wanted to mention it. This is the only level where there is some moderate challenge. And the black riders on your tail are badass.

I liked that one. I liked being on the defense. The Siege of Malta was my favorite for that reason too.
