WHAT does check your stove means? And how do you do it?
Re: Daut streaming AOE3:DE!!!
does aoe 3 deserves the grace of GOD?
Re: Daut streaming AOE3:DE!!!
He actually played a fair bit of aoe3 before. I played a lot of random Dutch mirrors against him in the past. Cool to see him playing more :)

That's a name I haven't seen in so long, used to download his rec's from agesanc back in the day. Had wild builds, but always made them work.
Re: Daut streaming AOE3:DE!!!
Yeah, although I think he basically hasn't played since like 2007 or so, right?_H2O wrote:He actually played a fair bit of aoe3 before. I played a lot of random Dutch mirrors against him in the past. Cool to see him playing more :)
Re: Daut streaming AOE3:DE!!!
How good was he back in the day ?
Re: Daut streaming AOE3:DE!!!
Good enough to kill goons with ulhans, apparently...
Re: Daut streaming AOE3:DE!!!
At that time I think he played mostly dutch, but in 2007 dutch then became OP. I was practicing for WCG and losing games to him so at least PR 45+. That year I did not really know the right builds or how to properly prepare, but around then I was amongst that top 25 ranks.
In my opinion he is the best aoe2 player of all time. He competed for so long and when he was full time and at the right age he was just so good. I may be a bit biased because he was really good when I was like 12 years old and looking to be great at RTS.

Re: Daut streaming AOE3:DE!!!
Depending on the time, pr45 was something like top10, so more like pr 35-40 current standards._H2O wrote:That is not true.[Armag] diarouga wrote:Well pr45 back then is captain today haha.

Well ofc. He has no knowledge and no practice.[Armag] diarouga wrote:Daut is like 2nd lieut atm.Astaroth wrote:Depending on the time, pr45 was something like top10, so more like pr 35-40 current standards.Show hidden quotes
I just mean pr 45 at the time is comparable to pr 35-40 now.
Obviously a pr 40+ then with little practice is like pr 25-28 at most.
Re: Daut streaming AOE3:DE!!!
Bad comparison, back then there were a lot more high-level players so it was harder to break into that echelon.Astaroth wrote:Well ofc. He has no knowledge and no practice.[Armag] diarouga wrote:Daut is like 2nd lieut atm.Show hidden quotes

Just being an active captain makes you top 300 or so nowadays. Try that in LoL or SC2.

I'm surprised at how much Daut is playing. It is pretty cool to see.

Re: Daut streaming AOE3:DE!!!
really need to get a pro to convince him to let them coach him. he has good mechanics and raids, he just doesn't know what any of the units do or what a good build order is. I'd love to see h2o coach him for like 3 games or something
Re: Daut streaming AOE3:DE!!!
He’s played the game before a fair bit. Just needs time to learn the meta.

I asked him and he said that figuring out the game by himself was more fun.Squamiger wrote:really need to get a pro to convince him to let them coach him. he has good mechanics and raids, he just doesn't know what any of the units do or what a good build order is.
