Best Players of all time

With the release of DE and a bunch of old players returning it might be time for creating a list of the best players of all time again.

My list:

1. Iamgrunt. When he played he dominated everyone. The only player you could call a professional making over 100k with Age of Empires tournaments.
2. H2O. Second, to Iamgrunt he also won the biggest tournament of the game.
3. Blackstar_OP. H2O might not have been at his best when he beat him but there was a time where nobody could beat him.
4. Samwise12. Reaching lvl 50 and being the biggest rival to H2O.
5. Aklak. He didn't play much 1v1 and that's why he doesn't have any big tournament wins. When I used to play team games with blackstar_op and even a few years back I always wanted to be in his team. He could destroy veni and blackstar in one team.
6. Hazza. There's no better overall player than Hazza. He mastered every game mode. Way back I would have given this place to veni because he was one of the best supremacy and treaty players. But hazza is better at supremacy and treaty than veni ever was.
7. Lordraphael. The consistency of this guy is just crazy. He's been around for so long and always finishing at the top even before the pk clan tournament.
8. Diarouga. He won the new world championship proving that he is one of the best out there. Beating many of the best players on his way.
9. Kaiserklein. Currently one of the top 3 players and also very consistent.
10. Snowww top team player and top 1v1 player.
11. Mitoe for the strongest axe.

Honourable mentions acergame09, challe, veni, tabben, garja, boneng, nagayumi, kynesie,
umeu,Naturephoenix, Starsky, Princeofkabul

You are missing so many players from Vanilla, which you probably dont even know
But it is incredibly hard to compare them to todays players because the game was completely different back then. Anyways I think a small list would be
StarSky, NaturePhoenix, The_Demon, the whole _hope crew (Finn, _Ruthless, mrCheese, Nanox), Nightscr34m, Black_Ice_Spain and many many more top team players from the old times.

If any of those guys started playing again today, they would probably not be able to beat the top players from today but after some months of playing they could start winning games

I think grunt, H2O and bsop should be in every top 3. Now it depends on what you value more. grunt is talent and dominance, H2O is longevity and bsop is absolute level (I believe that bsop at his peak would beat both at their peak because of better build orders).
Then you have NaturePhoenix and Samwise12 for the old pros, and kaiserklein, raphael, mitoe, hazza and me for the new pros.

Aklak wasn't a 1v1 player so can't put him in the "best of all times" imo, because 1v1 is more relevant. Acergame, challe, veni, Garja, boneng and Umeu are very far from the top of all time in 1v1, unless you only consider tournament results, but then there is no point in making a ranking since you can just take a look at tournament results.
tabben is hard to rank because he's only played in one tournament, where he was totally on part with the people in this ranking, but he stopped playing after that. Same for kynesie, he got very good results every time he played in a tournament because unfortunately didn't play many, and his performance depends too much on the rules. He probably wouldn't even make it to a RO8 with civ vetos and no water maps, and he'd be a big favourite with no civ rules and a map pool with lots of water maps.

Talking about "all time", yet you only mention people who have been active in the last 5 years (except Grunt)?

Should change the thread title to "since ESOC", that would make your list much more accurate

I do know them been around since 05. Naturephoenix definitely deserves a mention. You are right!

Even today, Sam is mostly famous for reaching pr52 and bashing everybody in 2010.
