Everyone's favourite (or not so favourite) ex-sc2 player Lilbow who dabbled a bit into Age of Empires 3 is joining a SC2 team again after being an Overwatch league coach for 4 years!
I guess this will diminish the time he streams aoe3:DE in the future.

Anyone have any good stories about him in his time playing some aoe3? Share them here

I slowly threw an advantageous position as brit vs mookie's germany on Legacy and he only made xbow pike. This was when mookie was very new, and he flamed me in all caps calling me shit. It took me a long time to accept that mookie wasn't sirmusket.

He was notorious for making only bow/pike on the EP. That's terrible of course, but he got some nice victories thanks to his good focus fire and cover mode management.

Ya it just shows how micro is important and strategy only matter at the very high level

It was very funny to see him spamming musk or bow and winning or at least giving good players some trouble. Making them think, who is this guy with advanced market in his deck haha.
I copied his bo and made some changes on it, with some success, but was always fun.

He convinced me that Spain in base immediate log flume xbow spam is good vs Japan as I lost a few times with pure yumi and naga yumi.
I later beat dirty gib with this in a tourney game

He won cause if you make shit ton of units, no matter which type, and the opponent doesn't react properly it is then a legit strat. Wasn't really micro that won him games, if anything macro.

Pike bow is micro intensive tho.

In this thread pike/xbow is too weak, but in the Garja Spain FI thread pike/xbow is too strong? ESOC's balance discussions never fail to amuse me.

Pike/xbow is just a lame rush strategy, mostly useful only for cannon fodder (quite literally) .

Unless you have op eco and go like 3x rax. Then it's not a rush anymore
