It was just so brillant.
It just shows that aoe2 isnt really only about mechanics and you really dont need to be a 400apm machine guns to shrine.

The games were absolutely crazy, DauT is just an absolute beast. Loved watching them. Also very excited about Serral doing a showmatch... perhaps we shall see him enter the AoE sphere shortly?

DauT gets bashed a lot for his APM but honestly it isn't bad at all, it's just a myth that he is slow and clunky

Yeah, actually his APM is quite good. Even his micro is good, it's just slightly worse than most other top5-10 players, but his macro, strategies and game sense are better than most other top10 players to compensate. hes just a top 5 and thats it.
Daut is probably top5 overall (micro+macro+strategy+game knowledge+game sense+adaptation etc.) and IMO his micro is "only" top10ish, but his macro/strategy etc are probably like top1-3.

Well, the wololo tournament is similar to Age of Empires 3. Because the rules aren't standard. People start in Age 2 instead of Age 1. So the pace is faster like in Aoe 3. So playing aoe 3 might have helped him who knows.

8 players pre qualified and were invited to compete in that tournament. Daut was not invited and had to play in the qualifiers in order to play in the tournament. Great story coming from the qualifiers to take first place.
