Hey guys, I was thinking about aztec and one of the most iconic stuff they did is they ritual sacrifice. What do you think if they have some option for sacrificing stuff lets seee boost speed, bost hp, boost gathering , boost attack speed etc. or if there are more ideas for sacrificial bonuses dunno I think would be amazing and will be so Aztec

The xp bonus is supposed to be a representation of sacrificing enemy warriors.

That would be a neat mechanic if you could sacrifice one of your own villagers for buffs. Imagine a mechanic like a revolution except instead of converting villagers to soldiers you just kill them all to make your current army super strong

Main H20 civ probably
Attack dance but every 5 seconds one villager on the fire pit is killed boosting your attack bonus by 1%

actually sacrificing workers for attack boost would be amazing
or sacrificing them for wood, lets say prayers to the gods or something. but speed buff would be also cool jaguar and skull would fit in the game maybe

This is the game in which plantations were renamed estates and the colonial into the commerce age. Human sacrifice? Yeah, not gonna happen.
i mean it's probably for the best from a historical perspective. the human sacrifices were basically state executions of prisoners with a cosmological aspect, pretty similar to the hangings and inquisitions and beheadings of European states at the time, but they were played up and dramatized extensively by Spanish accounts to create support for the conquest and conversion of the people to Christianity. I think it would be ahistorical to make human sacrifice a major feature of the Aztec civ, just like it would be a mistake to make beheadings with a guillotine a central feature of the French civ, as fun as it might be

Jokes aside, native civs already do that. Dancing with vills sacrifices economy as they are not gathering resources.
Attack dance is for the attack boost. Inca can dance for a wood trickle. Speed would be cool but there are so many dances that it just doesn't fit the UI. Plus inca or Sioux with a speed dance would be simply disgusting.
