Hello Age III explorers! We’re following up this month’s regular game update with a smaller release and a handful of important fixes for the game. This includes stability improvements as well as fixes to a few accessibility issues, and lays the groundwork for a larger list of changes coming in next month’s release—some of which is teased in the ‘Ongoing…‘ section, below.

Remember to stay involved in our forum and social communities, as this is one of the best ways to stay apprised of the latest changes.

It's a small update which is extremely promising!
There is a fix to the BAR files now that will make future updates update much faster
Made an adjustment to the Bar files, which should allow game updates to be downloaded and installed more quickly following this hotfix.
They also confirmed that the next hurdles they wanna take are...

... stuck units (they believe they found a fix which could prevent 90% of them from happening)
... Attack Move fixes and optimizations
... more crash fixes (can never get enough of them)
... Low-end PC Performance. They say that they believe that the game will run so much better with the next update

I don't know about you, but I value these more than Sweden being OP for another week or two. Gives you ample time to abuse it 8-)

players are still asking for a leaderboard which goes past 200, in game friend messaging and rotating map pools, i have no issue with patch download speed haha

Flags of Civilizations showing in the Score panel are more important
I fear showing a leaderboard with > 200 entries would destroy the entire game.
Friend messaging is definitely high up on the list, I guess it is one of those things they hint at with 'What's on the Horizon'.

Just to be clear, im not anti this patch, but if there is a balance team working on the game then maybe a couple of sentences on things they are looking at and considering would be a nice extra touch. I assume they have had some conversations since the last patch was released.

I would hope they are somewhat in touch with ESOC team for balance purpose...
ESOC : came for the game, stayed for the drama.

The last Swe changes confirmed that they read the official forums, but also this forum in regard to balance changes.

If you haven't noticed yet, they never ever have announced what balance changes they gonna put into future updates. When it's done, they just hit the shelves, so to speak. I don't expect this to ever change.
What I would like to see is a short explanation on some changes as to why they felt changing x or y was deemed necessary. I dunno, do they talk to certain players for certain balance changes? StarCraft 2 had some pros have a special and secret mail address they could send their suggestions to.

Serious. They managed to reintroduce an already fixed bug (names in the ladder taking a few seconds to load from a numerical value). With these kind of things, expect the worst so you won't get a terrifying surprise :hmm:

Lol I recently finalled reinstalled the game again to play. Today it took me 30 minutes to find a game via quicksearch (3v3 or 4v4). Then the map that loaded was bugged, e.g. not having a TP on my side of a trade route (I played German lol). Nice evening spent.

This game is shit.
Whatever is written above: this is no financial advice.

It's a shame that there's no mention of the balance patch, but I'm looking forward to the many features they'll bring next month. I expect that there will probably be a patch for balance with that function.
The text may be awkward using a translator, But I hope we can talk a lot about good things. GG

It would be cool if the boomers on this forum understood how steam worked, and how you can use that for friends, although it could have been not to difficult for them to integrate steam friends into the actual game a la csgo.

Hope they'll fix cannons soon.
Also very sad they make the game easier again by making it possible to see units range

It's QOL change, which is a good thing imo. You want to make the game harder in interesting ways, like quicker game, or units with spells, not just stuffs you have to spam 1000 times to get used to it.
In think sc2 managed to do that very well, they made every possible QOL change, but the game is still super hard because of how fast it is, and because every unit has a spell.

not to fret

"Feeling" how much range your units have on the map is part of both experience and micro. For art micro especially it's a deciding factor, you had to know when to shoot. Now it's gonna be even dumber, both player pressing alt and bringing their falcs forward and clicking at exactly the same time.
Other than art wars it's probably not a big deal because no one has time to press alt during fights to check range.
