USA speculation thread
Hopefully this is allowed but since it's 100% confirmed by @Aussie_Drongo that the USA civ will be coming to Aoe3 soon, most likely announced on the 10th April, lets start speculating as to how many broken features the USA will have.
Re: USA speculation thread
Maybe they'll have more OP saloon units? After all the wild west was in USA

For a start they need resource generating houses.

Peaple shouldn't use the term "100%" because 100% of the time, it's not.
Anyway, if it's true, it's sad and i will definitively remove aoe3DE from my comp ^^

Re: USA speculation thread
Well by DE team experience, we can safely say that it will be op on first patch, useless in the next, then op again for the rest of time.

Their units will reflect vibrant diversity, nonbinary identities and women's struggle against oppression, and many of their vills will be overweight.

You will uninstall DE cuz they will add USA as civ? #NO#LOGICchronique wrote:Peaple shouldn't use the term "100%" because 100% of the time, it's not.

Fine line to something great is a strange change.
Re: USA speculation thread
Adding the US sounds rather ridiculous. Should it be added, I expect strong features for late-game. Gatling guns as unique artillery should be straight-forward. An improved colonial milita could also make sense, making the US more difficult to rush.
Whatever is written above: this is no financial advice.

Do you have to bring your shitty politics to every single thread?Dolan wrote:Their units will reflect vibrant diversity, nonbinary identities and women's struggle against oppression, and many of their vills will be overweight.

Re: USA speculation thread
Because this game is almost unplaylable and they waste their time at doing DLC. Also, USA began in ~1770, but that's an other story.princeofcarthage wrote:You will uninstall DE cuz they will add USA as civ? #NO#LOGICchronique wrote:Peaple shouldn't use the term "100%" because 100% of the time, it's not.

This game should be renamed "age of empire a lot of things but not 3 Definitive Edition"

The sentiment I hear from some people is that “if you can’t achieve balance for 16 civs, how can you consider adding more of them”RefluxSemantic wrote:I dont understand, why would it be ridiculous?duckzilla wrote:Adding the US sounds rather ridiculous. Personally I think DE balance is pretty good atm

Ah, I can understand that sentiment. I'm such a filthy casual nowadays that I interpreted it as it not making any sense historically.Cometk wrote:The sentiment I hear from some people is that “if you can’t achieve balance for 16 civs, how can you consider adding more of them”RefluxSemantic wrote:I dont understand, why would it be ridiculous?duckzilla wrote:Adding the US sounds rather ridiculous. Well... where' the "colonial age" from the original AOE3?atiq629 wrote:Do you have to bring your shitty politics to every single thread?Dolan wrote:Their units will reflect vibrant diversity, nonbinary identities and women's struggle against oppression, and many of their vills will be overweight.
Re: USA speculation thread
This has already been discussed multiple times. Does it need to be brought back up again?Dolan wrote:Well... where' the "colonial age" from the original AOE3?atiq629 wrote:Do you have to bring your shitty politics to every single thread?Dolan wrote:Their units will reflect vibrant diversity, nonbinary identities and women's struggle against oppression, and many of their vills will be overweight.
Re: USA speculation thread
Why so bitter about it xD.
I was just cracking a joke at the possibility we might see that

Re: USA speculation thread
I just have difficulties to properly locate the US in this "colonial" setting and think that it is ridiculous to add them. Additionally, the US was quite a late player in this whole area, being founded in what would be the early industrial era within the game. I cannot really see what kind of immersion is possible for the earlier stages of the game that is not already used for nations like France and Brits.RefluxSemantic wrote:I dont understand, why would it be ridiculous?duckzilla wrote:Adding the US sounds rather ridiculous. So from what I gather, we should remove Germany from the game according to you?duckzilla wrote:I just have difficulties to properly locate the US in this "colonial" setting and think that it is ridiculous to add them.
