people have to face the fact that the real reason why Hausa is considered lame is that you just cant deal with losing to someone you believe to be worse then you. There is nothing wrong with taking this game competitive just a different attitude there is no need to evaluate these different personality trades. to the point being annoyed by losing to Hausa is just the same competitiveness manifesting in a different way

It depends on what the player's individual goal is. If it's just getting higher on the ladder, earning them sweet sweet pixel points, it makes complete sense to use the most OP lame civ to get there. Any way to get there is legit, since you don't care about anything except winning pixel points.

Most players however also value and appreciate in themselves, and in other players, a sense of actual skill. Being able to thoroughly outplay your opponent through wit and skill, having tactical superiority and knowledge. So "being the best" for most players is not equal to a high position on the ladder, but also how you got there and if you know more than 1 obviously broken civ.

GlouK is obviously going for the former, which is his right. But you won't earn the respect of viewers and other players if you get there without any regards to the wider available mechanics, skills and civ balance.
