Predicting the next CIV's house
Historically AOE3 developers seem to love giving some civs house a personality.
So I'm pretty sure the new civilizations that will appear in the next dlc will also have op houses.
What kind of house do you expect?
Re: Predicting the next CIV's house
I predict the next house will double as a town centre, training villagers, receiving shipments, destroying ships from 30 range, summon minutemen, ranged attack/garrison point, all for 140 wood, nerfed to 145 wood the next patch
edit: possibly trickle xp

oops
Re: Predicting the next CIV's house
April, you forgot the original lame house - Japan's shrines, but I'm sure that wasn't intentional

Re: Predicting the next CIV's house
It would be even better if the wall house could go down to the ground at any time and then come back up again!chronique wrote:I expected a civ where your wall give you pop space ^^
Re: Predicting the next CIV's house
Hard to justify balloons for an african civ. Not to mention nobody lives and raises a family in a flying chest.iNcog wrote:edit: put it in spoilers in case the people who designed the USA skim through this thread.oops
Imagine how balanced this game would be if "air" is a thing, if after 16 years water is still broken

Wow an ambush house - one that appears and traps enemy units inside. This would be right in tune with all of the "units stuck in buildings" bugs.Miyawaki Sakura wrote:It would be even better if the wall house could go down to the ground at any time and then come back up again!chronique wrote:I expected a civ where your wall give you pop space ^^

Re: Predicting the next CIV's house
maybe their stables or barracks will randomly trickle resources instead of their houses, you don't know
Re: Predicting the next CIV's house
Houses that spawn crates might be fun actually, and its only thing left that hasnt been done. Or hunts or Trees or gold mines.

Re: Predicting the next CIV's house
So like... a house grows out a tree and some cdbs come to chop it down, destroying your house in the process.helln00 wrote:Houses that spawn crates might be fun actually, and its only thing left that hasnt been done. Or hunts or Trees or gold mines.

Re: Predicting the next CIV's house
That might be good, u can vil rush the opponent, take their newly spawned resources and destroy their houses at the same time, still more balanced then torps
Re: Predicting the next CIV's house
Imagine a house being a normal house. Not sure if everyone will be ready for it

Re: Predicting the next CIV's house
i think they tried that with USA but then had to give them abusable minutes and a factory in age 3 to be on par with other civsJKProwler wrote:Imagine a house being a normal house. Not sure if everyone will be ready for it

Re: Predicting the next CIV's house
yes you are correct usa needs abusable minutes and an age 3 factory to be on par with other civs.

Re: Predicting the next CIV's house
Tbh i think an xp trickling house could be interesting. Like 120 wood 0,1 xp per sec (same as most livestock for india).
Re: Predicting the next CIV's house
Hopefully just normal houses and other civ bonuses. USA might be quirky but at least it doesn't have torps or shrines.
Re: Predicting the next CIV's house
maybe the houses will spawn artillery for free so we can make sure there's a factory house of every kind

I believe that the plantations and farms are going to work automatically, a little nod to slavery.
Re: Predicting the next CIV's house

Re: Predicting the next CIV's house
This would actually be a cool mechanic for a water-civ. It shouldn't allow garrison tho. Probably also imbalanced.
