Predicting the next CIV's house
Re: Predicting the next CIV's house
idk give that civ regular houses and water houses so they cant be destroyed by land units. if its just a gimmick and they do fine on land maps too, why not?

Houses that have gardens attached which work as fast-gathering mills with 2 vill slots each. Civ cannot build usual mills.

Houses that can also be used to train single units (instead of batches) of a unique musk style unit.

Re: Predicting the next CIV's house
I am expecting some kind of slavery mechanic, judging by DE's previous strive to achieve historical accuracy with the native civs. Perhaps each house functions as a marketplace through which you can sell population for coin?

Re: Predicting the next CIV's house
kind of a cool idea actually. as long as they just gather at the rate of normal mills, i dont think this would be broken at allduckzilla wrote:Houses that have gardens attached which work as fast-gathering mills with 2 vill slots each. Civ cannot build usual mills.

Re: Predicting the next CIV's house
Every house built spawns a monster truck, with the next patch nerfing it so houses only spawn a George Crushington.
Re: Predicting the next CIV's house
I think one could also try it with slightly faster gathering rates (talking about a 10% higher base gather rate or something similar), which would make up for the fact that you have to invest 500 wood to have 10 villagers work on food without having the choice of building a usual mill. It would also mean that your max number of food gathering vills in late game is capped at 40, which could have a strong impact depending on whether units cost a lot of food. This design also disencourages you to use your houses for increasing LOS of your base.Squamiger wrote:kind of a cool idea actually. as long as they just gather at the rate of normal mills, i dont think this would be broken at allduckzilla wrote:Houses that have gardens attached which work as fast-gathering mills with 2 vill slots each. Re: Predicting the next CIV's house
A moving house and a tower house together sounds like a fun design for an aggressive civ, but would be completely cancer for a defensive civ.
not a Rick roll, promise
Re: Predicting the next CIV's house
There’s no way it would ever work in an aggressive, the building restriction ruins any chance for tower rushing which sucksAbrahamburgerlincon wrote:A moving house and a tower house together sounds like a fun design for an aggressive civ, but would be completely cancer for a defensive civ.

Re: Predicting the next CIV's house
why not? place it in base and after queuing your vills creep it forward. thats just a super agressive mini blockhouse. even if it just works like a chinese village with say less hp or so. could be a good anti raiding technique tooo. seems pretty fun if it only has like 1 or 2 speed.
Re: Predicting the next CIV's house
A good mechanic and not cancer mechanic would be Garrison Max 4 vills on every house at cost of 100w

Re: Predicting the next CIV's house
I was thinking of it more as a way to give you an edge in keeping map control, kind of like Russia with the blockhouse and india with the Agra fort.n0el wrote:There’s no way it would ever work in an aggressive, the building restriction ruins any chance for tower rushing which sucksAbrahamburgerlincon wrote:A moving house and a tower house together sounds like a fun design for an aggressive civ, but would be completely cancer for a defensive civ.

What is garja house?
Re: Predicting the next CIV's house
From the official website:
Shared Buildings:
Hut: Supports 10 population as usual; different militia can be levied using Influence cost
So their house is actually unique. :O

Frankly it looks like a nice mechanic, it's kind of like the Chinese boxer rebellion card.yurashic wrote:From the official website:
