The first 2v2 Treaty Tournament (2016): Lost to sabusa and OliverP in the semis, which was probably always going to happen. It was fun to play with Queen and I played some really clean games against martin/collection and debur/some other player I can't remember. However, I was also helping with admining this tournament, and there was some drama that really sours my memory of this tournament and makes it the worst experience for me. A team smurfed and one of the players who was smurfing turned out to be my friend and he was pissed about being kicked out of the blue. Then there was the finals thing where they couldn't finish because of lag and we just awarded the win to sabusa and oliver who won the first game. And we couldn't even fill the prize pool lmao, complete disaster.
--48--
ESOC Autumn 2018: The rude awakening. 1-3 against tabben with losses that were not close. This was a loss that needed to happen because my ego was really big at this point and I was getting really into the raging/flaming mentality (I mean, I never fixed the raging after this, but I did cut down on the flaming except for occasionally in treaty), and in retrospect I'm glad tabben was able to deliver the smackdown I deserved. However, what I didn't deserve was Zoi mentioning this match and how badly I played in it in every fucking twitch chat for a week afterwards.
--47--
ESOC Grand Tour Playoffs (2019): I didn't practice at all and it showed. Lost 0-4 to tabben in the ro8 and not one game was close. Terrible mistakes and just getting outplayed in general. I feel bad for duck or whoever it was who had to write like a summary news post or something trying to make this sound interesting and exciting. Tabben didn't practice either, in fact he hadn't touched the game in months, so I don't even get to use that as an excuse. Pretty miserable series. At least the Brit vs China game was ok.
--46--
Aoe3 Global Championship 2021: Really, really disappointing result for me. As soon as I saw that I had knusch, breeze, and daniel I got kind of worried, and I guess I was right to be. I still thought at the very least I'd win a match and get $50 but I didn't even get close. The games against knuschelbar were alright but I got absolutely crushed by daniel. I was grinding a decent amount of ladder and I even played some games against Mitoe (we practiced brits vs inca on vietnam which ended being the one map I won against knuschelbar). I went into this tournament honestly thinking my form was decent but when I ended up against daniel he just beat me on strat and execution. In retrospect we had more than enough time so instead of playing daniel two days after losing to knusch, I should have delayed the match by a week and did some practice games against port sea and sweden instead of going in with no practice against a player who I know for a fact is talented.
--45--
ESOC Spring 2017: For some reason I was really upset with my 0-3 against kingofosmane. I don't know why, Osmane is a great player and I did like no practice so I don't know what I expected. I delusionally went into this tournament expecting to do well despite not putting in the required effort and got crushed.
--44--
Treaty Titans Invitational (2016): I was annoyed that I picked Otto against sabusa. Ended 1-1 in the group stage, beating lukas and losing to sabusa, so I had to play a bo1 against Lukas (winner would play bo3 against sabusa) which I lost. The games were okay though, and the format was cool. There was some drama going on in the background for me though where a certain player I shouldn't have been in contact with at all was really mad at me for losing to Lukas, so that made the experience a good deal worse, even though the losses really weren't that bad and it should've been a fun tournament.
--43--
ESOC Grand Tour Sup Cup 3 (2018): My ego was pretty big at this point so my ro32 0-1 loss to tabben hurt a bit. Tabben of course would later become a legend but he wasn't nearly as good at this point. I think I deleted my twitch channel.
--42--
Weekend Pilgrimage (2019): Meh. Got two byes and had to wait then lost 0-2 to knuschelbar. Not good gamemode as well, the one caravel start was so stupid. The Sioux mirror was kinda nice though I guess.
--41--
ESOC WarChiefs Classics II (2019): Didn't practice and lost 0-3 to GUA. Wasn't that upset surprisingly, but I was a little annoyed at just how badly I played and at the fact I didn't at least take a map or two.
--40--
ESOC DE Draft League 1 (2020): 0-2 to Lukas, one of those series where nothing goes right.
--39--
GUA October 2019 Sub Tour: 0-2 to Lukas, got port vs china and spain vs iro. Unlucky rolls imo and I didn't play that well either.
--38--
ESOC Grand Tour Season 2 Sup Cup 4 (2019): Disappointingly quick loss to somppu playing brit vs iro.
--37--
The other 2v2 Treaty Tournament (2017): Me and queen lost in the finals to sabusa and the dude in my sig. Fun tournament overall and it was still fun to play with queen again, even though me and queen were pretty pissed directly after the loss. We beat floko and ziv in the finals, which was amazing and never supposed to happen, we actually played out of our minds. But I have to rank this low because of who won the tournament. There was also a decent amount of drama in this tournament which I was also helping to admin, but none of the drama was nearly as bad as in the previous team treaty tournament.
--36--
ESOC Time2Micro (2018): Garbage gamemode but I did get to beat Mitoe.
--35--
General's Table 2v2 Tournament (2020?): Me and princeofkabul lost in the first round 1-3 to kaiserklein and mitoe. It was fun to play with prince but I made some pretty terrible mistakes. I wasn't really that upset with any of them except for the one on Manchuria (port/sioux vs kaiser port/mitoe brit) in which I told prince to send 3 privateers. An absolute ape move by me because I had already held the water pressure by sending advanced dock and telling prince, who was in a position where he was going to have to survive 1v2 for a bit, to set himself back a shipment and 500g was awful. That monkey tier call by me is why I have to rank this low. Other than that the games were alright.
--34--
ESOC Grand Tour Sup Cup 2: I had a good performance and lucky bracket and made it to the finals, but my semifinals against Tit was laggy and kind of miserable, and then I got 3-0'd by Kaiser. I guess I was upset because of the level difference, never at any point in that series VS kaiser did I feel like I had any chance of winning, which is a pretty shitty feeling when you make it to the finals and you know hundreds of people are watching.
--33--
ESOC Winter 2015: My first sup tournament, lost 1-2 to wookl. I wasn't too upset about it, the games were ok and I did win one.
--32--
GUA June 2020 Sub Tour: I would've forgotten about this one if not for me looking through the sub tours by checking the announcement section of GUA's discord. I beat mongo 3-1 then lost 0-3 to princeofkabul, which does ring some bells now. When mongo did the supposedly op two wh ageup with aztec I managed to cancel one of his warhuts with my explorers and my first two sepoys.
--31--
Warchiefs Classic (2017): I played a funny Iro mirror against mongo and then a funny Iro vs France game against Soldier. The other games weren't that great because I didn't really know what I was doing with the native civs.
--30--
Incogs Empire Cup 2 (2020): Games I played are not even worth mentioning but I did get some money.
--29--
March Subscriber Tournament (2021): Lost to Eaglemut, hilarious game and I wasn't even upset at the end. Eaglemut did his stuff well. I picked russia forgetting that we were playing on the one dock one bh map and not the two bh map (sorry I have to sneak in an excuse).
--28--
ESOC Grand Tour Season 2 Underused Cup (2019): The game I played against Risi was actually kind of fun. I was getting into port sea at this point (I had to learn it for New Years Classic) and beat his dutch, he did like swiss pikes or something and tried to burn my base. However my loss against tabben was easy and completely unnoteworthy. Tabben was already beating me with his anti-standard style even long before reaching his NWC form so...
--27--
ESOC Autumn 2016: I made a cool falc/cdb pop against Yurashic which I actually watched back, it was H2O and Callen casting I think. Other than that nothing noteworthy, I wasn't too upset about the loss.
--26--
Stay At Home Cup (2020): Lost 0-3 to Samwise but the Ger vs Spain game on Dhaka was pretty nice, the first two games were stomps sadly.
--25--
ESOC Grand Tour 2v2 Tournament (2018): Me and Mitoe beat kaiserklein/queen 1-0 then lost to knusch/winston 1-2. The loss hurt but to be fair knuschelbar played out of his mind, and in the two games they won they played aggressively creating situations where winston is actually good. The game we won was a pretty good hour long game and the game against kaiserqueen was interesting as well. Also there were no ape tier decisions or mistakes by me in this one, unlike in the other 2v2 sup tournament I played in, we just kinda did our thing and lost. If anything I would say we could've picked better civ combos for games 2 and 3.
--24--
ESOC Grand Tour Mono Civ (2018): Somppu beat me pretty easily in the RO8, I wasn't upset at all about it. Best format IMO, had a lot of fun watching the finals.
--23--
No Rush November NR20 Tournament (2019): I was actually happy for floko after losing to him in the finals. Not really a fun gamemode though. Also disappointed that I didn't get to play amsterda in the semifinals after amsterda talked some shit. Fun tournament though.
--22--
EPL1 (2019): Incredibly fun format and I really liked my team, but on the other hand my performance was absolutely awful. And unlike other tournaments, my awful performance actually affected other people so it felt pretty bad. I actually practiced but just either didn't practice the right things or wasn't able to execute it well enough. That India mirror against samwise though.
--21--
ESOC Autumn Second Chance 2018: It was good to have a tournament where I played decently after getting crushed by tabben in the main tournament. I also played a match point finals against iamturk which I did lose but it was a close and pretty decent finals I think. I remember I started typing some stuff about how I had no chance after I was down 1-3, I was pretty upset about losing both sides of france vs india. Mitoe (who was casting) messaged me some encouraging stuff and I feel bad for bitching and making Mitoe feel like he needed to do that. Anyway, the messages didn't help but luckily I was able to turn it around and make the series close regardless.
--20--
ESOC DE Draft League 2 (2020?): Gonna be close with the garjonians taking it. Lost to knuschelbar 1-2 but I played decently and the games were nice.
--19--
Incogs Empire Cup 1 (2020): Lost to Osmane in a really close, good game, france vs japan on manchuria. Seeing Osmane's run afterwards was also nice, it feels better if you lose to someone who manages to go far.
--18--
December 2019 GUA Sub Tour: I like the format even though it's not good for me. I beat Ezad 3-2 in a pretty nice series, for some reason I always had nice games against Ezad. I'm especially proud of the port VS japan game I managed to win on sonora after being down 1-2, with quick pressure off of an ff. I also managed to beat his ger with iro, a civ I don't know very well. I rushed and lost everything under TC but managed to win by getting enough kenya out and catching his army after he aged. After that I lost 0-3 to Kaiser, the first to games were unnoteworthy but the third game was a pretty nice back and forth at least.
--17--
ESOC Grand Tour Playoffs (2018): I played a competent series against knuschelbar and could've won. It went 2-2 and I ended up with ger against his brit. If only I didn't fight into trees. I had arsenal and cav combat, I would've won the fight if only I didn't fight into trees. Why did I fight into trees? Anyway, I consider this the end of my brush with being competitive in supremacy against top players. A lot of regret esecially since this was the only chance I would ever have to beat knuschelbar, but the games were actually good imo so it gets ranked decently high.
--16--
Tri Civ Cup (2019): Glad I looked at the bracket for this one because I almost forgot about that sick port v brit game against Ezad. Back and forth, 45 mins long, probably 4-5 CM calls. Beat ageofkiller India vs Japan then lost to kaiserklein in the ro8, ok games.
--15--
New Year's Classic (2019): Lost to Lukas (ports vs china) in the ro32 but I think it was a good series. We both prepared a lot, I noticed Lukas got some practice games in against umeu the day before and I had also played a lot of ports in the week or so leading up. I should've been aggressive in game 5 since I won the 2 games where I attacked him in age 2/3 and lost the two games were I played passive and let him get age 4. Monociv is my favorite format, I honestly think the quality of games went up significantly because of preparation. Would of course be impossible now because ports/sweden.
--14--
The one invitational on DE (2020): One of my better supremacy performaces, I surprisingly won without dropping a map against GUA and Soldier. I didn't do anything especially interesting (except in the Dutch vs GUA port game which was a pretty funny game) but I had good gameplans and good execution, which is more than I can say for the majority of my supremacy performances. The only pure supremacy event I ever won.
--13--
ESOC Grand Tour Deathmatch Open (2018): Probably the fastest tournament ever. I did win it and some of the games were pretty nice. Sadly interest was pretty low. I was happy to win a deathmatch tournament since it showed my skill in all gamemodes.
--12--
New World Championship Qualifiers (2019): Difficult to rank. I lost 1-3 to kynesie and then 1-3 to princeofkabul but holy shit the atmosphere of aoe3 was so exciting during the duration of this tournament, and I cannot thank the people who made this happen enough. Remember I'm ranking these tournaments by my personal experience of them, if I were ranking them by their quality, this would be no1 easily. I have a lot of regret because I think if I had done more quality preparation by messaging other top players asking for practice games and advice, and also started playing supremacy more actively earlier, I might've had a real chance. But on the other hand, the lineup of players that ended up going to Manchester turned out amazing and I'm not sure I would've wanted to take the slot from any of them.
--11--
Time2Treaty Blitz Bash 2 (2019): Another sick finals against Lukas but the lineup for this tournament was kind of depressing. Treaty was also starting to lose its fun for me (though it would regain some of it in 2020). It was nice to talk to gichtenlord in twitch chat again when Lukas was playing Floko.
--10--
Nilla NR60 Tournament hosted through facebook (2016): Bad gamemode but the finals I played against killsterds was actually kinda great. It went down to the wire with both of us being broke, and I did far more unit micro in this series than I usually do for treaty. Sad that we forgot to rec and the vods are gone.
---9---
ESOC Autumn 2017: I really like this tournament because it was my first experience with practice and preparation paying off. It was also the first time I took a map off of a top player in a competitive supremacy setting. I practiced Dutch VS Russia on Thar Desert VS kingofosmane, with hazza obsing, then I got to play that matchup against Kaiser. I did what I practiced (basically CM pure ff lol) and won the map. Sadly I was kinda lost in the other games against kaiserklein and lost 1-3.
---8---
Treaty 2v2 Hidden Cup (2020): Format did nothing for the players. We all knew who we were immediately. Most competitive TR teamgame tournament ever, no drama as well. Sadly the top 2 teams were way more competitive than the bottom two teams. Me and sergyou played nicely and beat sabusa and volt in what were decent games. We put up a decent fight against floko and daniel but ended up losing and lost pretty easily to ramen and ziv after dropping into the lower bracket. Still a lot of fun to play in and a lot of fun to watch. My favorite part of this tournament was the first match where we went in having no idea who our opponents were.
---7---
ESOC Grand Tour Blitz Bash (2018): After the lack of 1v1 Treaty tournaments it felt really good to have two within a few months. I had another close finals but due to it being blitz it didn't have that same legendary feeling that the time2treaty tournament did. Also the game where I played for 2 hours vs huss flanks (Russia vs Lukas ports) was annoying. Still mostly great games.
---6---
Two Towns Tournament (2019): I really needed a tournament to do well in after failing NWC and I'm really glad I got to do well in this one. The gamemode was cool, starting with two TCs means that knowledge of timings becomes irrelevant and it's more about macro, so I was able to do well and I also enjoyed it a lot. I also got to win against Kaiserklein in the semi finals and I consider this win to be more legit than the bo1 I won in 2018, even though that bo1 was in normal supremacy. I also made reasonable civ choices on every single map except for when I picked Dutch against tabben's France. I lost 1-3 to tabben in the finals but I'm still proud of my run (not proud of how I handled that nagi flank though).
---5---
2015 Treaty Cup: Ranked high because it was my first tournament ever and I won it. H2O, Zuta, and Stormcoming casted the final match which was really cool, it's one of the very few casts of my games that I actually watched back. Games were alright. When I ran out of coin in the port mirror on Deccan they thought I was staying low on coin on purpose, which was kind of funny. The real reason I didn't switch more vills to coin was because of laziness and, as _PI pointed out in his analysis that he did a couple months later, that I didn't have room in my base. Anyway I was doing fine with facs and TPs on coin.
---4---
EPL2 (2020): Amazing atmosphere. I actually did well, which felt really good since I was bought for a really low price. We had Zuta cheering us on and Oliveza posting memes that were super on point. Just like EPL1 I really liked our team. Just an incredible experience. That game I played as france vs kingownage's ger is one of my strongest tournament games imo. Of course, that port game VS Opti's China is one of my weakest. If we had won and my series against opti didn't happen this tourney would be no1 on this list for sure.
---3---
ESOC Grand Tour Sup Cup 1 (2018): This was when my brush with being competitive in supremacy began. I bo1'd kaiser in the ro16 which was great then I played a close series against Mitoe in the ro4. Unforgettable nerves and feeling of adrenalene when I was in the semis and I realized I was actually making a deep tournament run in the game mode aoe3 is meant to be played on.
---2---
2020 Treaty Cup (2020): Treaty got somewhat of a second wind in 2020 after nearly dying in 2019. A large part of that is because of floko. By grinding treaty a lot he became the clear no1 and also collectively raised the level of the rest of the community as we all tried to compete with him. This all culminated in this tournament. We also had a fucking sick lineup the like of which I would've never expected in 2019. And unlike the other treaty tournaments it wasn't just leading up to a finals that everybody expected; I had to play out of my mind to win against ziv twice, and lukas came pretty close to beating ziv in the lower bracket. I lost to floko twice but I only regret a couple games: I played terribly in the second Spain mirror (the first one was okay though!) and in the Russia vs India I played a bit sploppily after stablizing. That port vs iro game I played against floko is probably my most impressive treaty tournament game ever.
---1---
Time2Treaty 1v1 Tournament (2018): Deep lineup considering it was a TR touranment. Not as deep as the 2015 treaty cup but the skill level was far higher, we had a decentish balance patch, and we were playing on better maps. My semifinal games against floko were really good and the finals games were fantastically played from both for the most part imo. I played out of my mind in both the semis and the finals. Especially the finals where we both did everything we could to win in every game. The France vs Russia game on Toluca where Lukas kept relentlessly splitting until I crumbled despite my best efforts to defend. The Spain VS Iro game where I came back from being nearly dead by burning his nats with maya. The Ger VS Spain game on blitz cliff that ended with us both being broke and Lukas barely clutching it.
Without each tournament in a spoiler
49. The first 2v2 Treaty Tournament (2016): Lost to sabusa and OliverP in the semis, which was probably always going to happen. 22.
20. ESOC DE Draft League 2 (2020?): Gonna be close with the garjonians taking it. Lost to knuschelbar 1-2 but I played decently and the games were nice.
19. Incogs Empire Cup 1 (2020): Lost to Osmane in a really close, good game, france vs japan on manchuria. Seeing Osmane's run afterwards was also nice, it feels better if you lose to someone who manages to go far.
13. ESOC Grand Tour Deathmatch Open (2018): Probably the fastest tournament ever. I did win it and some of the games were pretty nice. Sadly interest was pretty low. I was happy to win a deathmatch tournament since it showed my skill in all gamemodes.
5. 2015 Treaty Cup: Ranked high because it was my first tournament ever and I won it.
2. 2020 Treaty Cup (2020): Treaty got somewhat of a second wind in 2020 after nearly dying in 2019.
45. ESOC Spring 2017: For some reason I was really upset with my 0-3 against kingofosmane. I don't know why, Osmane is a great player and I did like no practice so I don't know what I expected. I delusionally went into this tournament expecting to do well despite not putting in the required effort and got crushed.
43. ESOC Grand Tour Sup Cup 3 (2018): My ego was pretty big at this point so my ro32 0-1 loss to tabben hurt a bit. Tabben of course would later become a legend but he wasn't nearly as good at this point. I think I deleted my twitch channel.
42. Weekend Pilgrimage (2019): Meh. Got two byes and had to wait then lost 0-2 to knuschelbar. Not good gamemode as well, the one caravel start was so stupid. The Sioux mirror was kinda nice though I guess.
41. ESOC WarChiefs Classics II (2019): Didn't practice and lost 0-3 to GUA. Wasn't that upset surprisingly, but I was a little annoyed at just how badly I played and at the fact I didn't at least take a map or two.
40. ESOC DE Draft League 1 (2020): 0-2 to Lukas, one of those series where nothing goes right.
39. GUA October 2019 Sub Tour: 0-2 to Lukas, got port vs china and spain vs iro. Unlucky rolls imo and I didn't play that well either.
38. ESOC Grand Tour Season 2 Sup Cup 4 (2019): Disappointingly quick loss to somppu playing brit vs iro.
36. ESOC Time2Micro (2018): Garbage gamemode but I did get to beat Mitoe.
33. ESOC Winter 2015: My first sup tournament, lost 1-2 to wookl. I wasn't too upset about it, the games were ok and I did win one.
31. Warchiefs Classic (2017): I played a funny Iro mirror against mongo and then a funny Iro vs France game against Soldier. The other games weren't that great because I didn't really know what I was doing with the native civs.
30. Incogs Empire Cup 2 (2020): Games I played are not even worth mentioning but I did get some money.
27. ESOC Autumn 2016: I made a cool falc/cdb pop against Yurashic which I actually watched back, it was H2O and Callen casting I think. Other than that nothing noteworthy, I wasn't too upset about the loss.
26. Stay At Home Cup (2020): Lost 0-3 to Samwise but the Ger vs Spain game on Dhaka was pretty nice, the first two games were stomps sadly.
24. ESOC Grand Tour Mono Civ (2018): Somppu beat me pretty easily in the RO8, I wasn't upset at all about it. Best format IMO, had a lot of fun watching the finals.
23. No Rush November NR20 Tournament (2019): I was actually happy for floko after losing to him in the finals. Not really a fun gamemode though. Also disappointed that I didn't get to play amsterda in the semifinals after amsterda talked some shit. Fun tournament though.
21. ESOC Autumn Second Chance 2018: It was good to have a tournament where I played decently after getting crushed by tabben in the main tournament. I also played a match point finals against iamturk which I did lose but it was a close and pretty decent finals I think. Mitoe (who was casting) messaged me some encouraging stuff and I feel bad for bitching and making Mitoe feel like he needed to do that. Anyway, the messages didn't help but luckily I was able to turn it around and make the series close regardless.
18. 12. New World Championship Qualifiers (2019): Difficult to rank. 11. Time2Treaty Blitz Bash 2 (2019): Another sick finals against Lukas but the lineup for this tournament was kind of depressing. 1.
