This sounds really cool.

The age 1 changes to Hausa and Ethiopians could be just what was needed to bring them in line. I especially like the idea of going from 3 to 4 cattle but reducing the food on each, so the impact is greatest early on but less over time since 4 cattle gain resources from fattening 33% faster than 3 cattle.

Hausa and Ethiopia have been massively nerfed in their age I , we know AOE 3 is all about tempo and both this civs have lost a ton of it, Exciting times ahead.

Yea slowing them down is a good idea, sadly even if they are good balance wise people will still cry every time they lose to them despite having no idea how to play vs them cause they're too stubborn and proud to actually load into a game with the civs themselves.

Well if these civs still require zero mapcontrol and zero micro, among other things, they're still gonna be annoying

Hausa no longer has 3 vils in age 1, thats gonna hurt, its going to be edit 10/10 city from now on I guess

Should inca age up fast and send TC+warhut, or to age up with 40% lumberjack efficiency?
40% boost up is nice indeed, but as Kancha houses are too expensive now, it's awkward to put many vills on wood now.

I think age fast is best if on a tp map. This is based off of the one game iv played with them.

Theorycrafting only, fast age into TC+warhut seems like trying to emulate Portuguese, only even more greedy.

Fast age will probably get you to age 2 around the same time as a Ports 10/10 so you'll be 4 vils up, but they get 400w from aging plus whatever they decide to ship, while you get an extra war hut in exchange for 250c and a shipment. If you can do the all-out boom you'll be ahead thanks to no idle TC, vil shipments, and big button, but you're sinking a lot more resources into it so you'll be even more vulnerable early.

Is it just me or Huaracas having 20 range in colonial are just a little bit dumb? Also being enabled from a free shipment.

The civ can be played exactly like before just by aging with wood up and sending 2war huts first card instead of 600w. Also with 2 kallanca card Inca can stay in age2 and just counter artillery with huaracas.
Alternatively TP start into stagecoach boom and eventually adding houses gradually.

Port don’t 10/10 to land boom. They do it to water boom or atp boom.

So I have been just playing for fun against the AI, but an Incan ff into bolas and huaracas feels semi-legit now that you can micro them.

chop wood for 3 kanchas, send 3 vils, age with 2 builder and gather 300 gold in transition. use one builder for an additional kancha and save 1 for a kalanca, send 700 gold and just fast age 3.

In age 3 send 10 bolas + infinite bolas and train huaracas to counter cannons and skrims

edit: actually train bolas and send huaracas is better

As a native spanish speaker, every time you mentioned bolas, it meant bollocks to me so it was really funny :lol:
I know you mean "Boleadoras" but still... it's weird.

I have a strong feeling it will be Brazilian natives or something.. they just added two new Maps called: "Minas Gerais" and "Bahia" both which are names of 2 states located on the east coast of brazil. maybe a hint? :hmm:

I think this is kind of like the early Hausa stuff. You can beat it if you know its coming, but you cant scout it until its too late, so you have to commit in advance and if he does in base greedy stuff you lose.

It doesnt feel optimal yet though, I tend to overgather on food, such that 700 coin arrives a bit too late.
