No, they are different civilizations after all. Hauds and Lakota are native american tribes, the USA civ is based on the Pilgrims, the founding fathers that colonized North America.

It's like adding a Turkish civilization with the Ottoman already there...
It ain't like that, can tell you from firsthand experience
You are from Mexico eh? Care to explain the differences?

Well, Mexico is the result of the old Mexicas and Spain colliding, and as such the ones that started the idea of Mexico were the ones that didn't belong in either of those groups. So to this day in this piece of land called Mexico plenty of cultures exist and grow alongside others, sharing the land as one of the few things in common. Specifically talking about Aztecs, they are... no longer.

oh, and I just noted that you can see an aztec temple in the background in one of the pictures
That's how it really is haha, if you were to visit Ciudad de México right now, the ruins of the temple are right there, besides the Cathedral.

So Mexico = Spaniards+Aztecs mixed together for a couple of centuries.
I'm sure there are still some families living today, barely mixed with european blood so Aztecs still exist!

We're all mixed, which is to say I'm neither descendant of a pure Mexica bloodline nor a pure spanish bloodline, the card posted earlier its a good example I think, Aztecs revered their death and those are the roots for sure but Día de Muertos is entirely a result of what came after and as such it ain't aztec. So of course a few things still live on, that much is implied within what means to be mexican I guess.
Also like, Mayans still live and we also have some roots coming from them, but they are still they... if that makes any sense.
lol why aren't we allowed to complain if the majority of players never asked for Mexico to become a playable faction?
it's not like there were no polls which frequently showed similar results with Italy coming out on top and Mexico often not even being in the race. publishing a DLC with Mexico is a surprise and surprises can be good or bad at the first look. this one looks bad for me.
