I am confused about the description of House of Trastamára.

"Effects apply once to the NEXT Age-up only
Progress is reset with each completed Age-up"
This is the description of the card that I don't understand.

For example, when I send 5 cards in age2, including this card, and age up to fortress, the cost is reduced by 500 and 42.5% of age up time?
Also, how the resources is reduced? 500f? 300f+200c? 250f+250c? or 500c?
In the same game, if I send 5 more cards in age3, do the cost and time reducing apply to aging up to age4? If so, is it also reduced by 500 and 42.5%?

Can someone explain this please?

So it does seem to count sending the card itself, and it seems to be split 55-45 food - gold

trastamara has a very nice synergy with logistician. Maybe @Mitoe and @Aizamk will find some builds :)

From what I get you have to send age2 shipments to benefit the age up time to fortress. So age1 shipments don't count for that.

Yes. I tried logistics + that shipment, 300 wood like 10 times and he gave me the age advance discount.

Interesting take on the Conquistadors, seems good to finally see them in the spanish deck, still I would have like to see them as a native card in all ages or at least industrial. I feel like this is an overall rework to the age2 spain and their teamgame potential.

Also, the water cards seems to give a bit more water pressence for spain overall, you don't have to worry about making raxes or stables, you can train units as long as you control the shore, giving the feeling a whole conquering experience, 1 forward outpost+ 2caravels training and delivering units.

If the Liberation March card gives a 5% speed boost, that means you can get Corselets tech (from the church card) and the speed tech from advanced arsenal without getting a negative speed % on your HI units. A decent age3 lategame, sucks that you won't get any speed bonus but your musketeers can get like 35% HP.

Did or did not give the discount?

I personally don't like the rework, it’s very unclear how they based these changes.
1st. More range for unction seems good, but less attack on mele damage hurts Spain’s anticav, especially rods, tercios and Nat allies like huaminca. Range infantry gets less damage overall, even after sending Peninsular Guerrillas. This combined with no longer high damage artillery, makes Spain vulnerable to mele charges.
2nd. No longer improvement on artillery basically leaves Spain with any good art feature, no engineering school, no extra hp, range, etc. Making the art war harder for Spain and probably having to invest more pop on artillery trying to deny a player with a lot of defensive buildings.
3rd. Spain required more of a Spanish gold or logistician rework, now they get two haciendas and still Spanish gold. That doesn’t make sense or doesn’t feel like the correct approach.
4th. Mixing Spain and Mexico feels awkward, because the civs are based on two different historical periods. Also, making Spain less unique.

Ye, changes are random. 2-3 out of them could be good, rest is bad thought imo.

Theyre random but most of the stuff just seems irrelevant(for 1v1) besides: Unction is probably not viable in sup anymore, although it was probably only borderline viable to begin with, spanish gold being nerfed, the age 2 ageup card maybe means they can play age 2 some and then age at exiled prince speed for half the price. People probably take inf 7 lancers in deck although its gonna be barely used as well as the big boat card(I assume this is like the brit one).

i could see some extended age 2 play with 5v 4v and then that card where vills work and train faster in age 3

I think unction will still be viable in lategame, especially with no pop cost for missionaries. However it has definetely been killed as an advantage in midgame.
The fast age card will be the key change.

Ye, something like 700w 5v 700g 4v makes sense with that card, altho realistically most games still requires Spain to send 600w instead of 4v.

It does you just have to receive the shipment in the age where you want the discount

A few I understand, the most important is the travois + sheep, which allowed you to build 7 haciendas, now you can't do it anymore.
