This is a great question. But always type 'gg' again, just because the 'g' followed by 'g' comes across as you didn't actually think it was a gg imo.

I type gg again. The single g mistake never happens to me in aoe3 though, only sc2

Tbh I much prefer opponents don't type gg win or lose.
When they win .. gg sounds condescending..when they lose to me the gg sounds like they didn't care
