they probably would have supported it. Only shows how deep the conshpirashy goes. Answers are neededfightinfrenchman wrote: ↑21 Nov 2022, 17:03I wonder what they would have thought about ESOC's "Nazi Era"
We've been having "esoc right but could have handled it better" since 2015. I'm unsure of any supposed lost opportunity for the aoe3 community, there is also the possibility that esoc could be taken advantage of here. ESOC has always been very willing to support anyone looking to invest time and money into aoe3. What probably happened is that:CanKu wrote: ↑21 Nov 2022, 16:30Good point. But dont you think that they still handled it poorly? They promised them a deal knowing about their content and then cancelled them last minute?iNcog wrote: ↑21 Nov 2022, 03:35Knowing who is running esoc, if xiled got cancelled then there is probably a very good reason for it. I could be wrong but highly doubt that I am. ESOC has always had the best interest of the community at heart and while they aren't always good at handling every situation thrown at them, they're in good faith. Thus, whoever the hell xiled is, they were probably tossed out for good reason. Probably doing something that would steer microsoft even further away from aoe3. I have a sneaking suspicion that red bull snubbed aoe3 at wololo after browsing esoc's off topic section.
Also they should've given them knowledge about it and not leave them in the dark. Whatever "valid" reason they have, they still should have communicated. Yaki was willing to delete his youtube videos and adjust his brand but he never even had a chance to speak! and thats what's so sad about it. Rumors say that even Microsoft is involved in this situation. Can't wait for Esoc's statement. I think this is bigger then we might expect. And if microsoft has such a big problem with the word suicide and deny opportunity for the aoe3 community because of it then they're in the wrong!

1. esoc gave money (microsoft money) to xiled to run aoe3 events,
2. xiled grossly broke terms of conduct (and not just suicide word or whatever, it was probably something else that xiled hasn't discussed honestly),
3. microsoft or esoc or both realize that xiled did or said something dumb and cancels xiled on the spot,
4. microsoft most likely imposed upon esoc and told them not to make a public statement about it, kind of like how the 3D!bee situation in aoe4,
Thus you won't get a public statement just so that esoc remains affiliated with microsoft and whatnot. It may be perceived as unfair but there's probably due consideration going on here and if microsoft sponsorship money is involved, then esoc isn't going to start messing around
This is pure speculation on my part, I am not longer a part of esoc at all, just throwing out conjecture between my past experiences with esoc as staff, tourney partner and other stuff.
