why is skirmy so good and why doesn't he blay in tournaments
i can summarize our brief discussion in a twitch chat later but wanted to open the forum up
If I were a petal
And plucked, or moth, plucked
From flowers or pollen froth
To wither on a young child’s
Display. Fetch
Me a ribbon, they, all dead
Things scream.

I've been wondering that for a long time.

Why so good: Doesn't seem that amazing micro wise (at least compared to how players like knusch and kaiser used to be, but still top lvl among players today) so I guess it's just solid understanding of how to play a lot of matchups and great decision making. Simply doing things like understanding your position in the game and not throwing leads with fighting or not fighting at the wrong times is worth a lot these days (I know I can't do that). But I only played two games against him (where I knew it was him) and watched some of Julian's games against him.
Why no tournaments: Idk, someone would have to ask him. To me, if you're already putting a lot of time into a game and are good enough to have a chance to win money in tournaments, it seems like a no-brainer to play in them, unless there is a risk of internet issues or something. (On second thought there are a lot of reasons why someone might not want to deal with tournaments. Not enjoying the highly competitive format, not wanting to deal with the highs and lows, nerves etc.)
Also I really missed something here. The last I remember skirmisher was a guy who played only China on EP and got good really fast but was still nothing special. Like he wasn't on my radar at all but now suddenly he is one of if not the best DE player.

1. He must be talented at RTS or have been doing RTS for a long time
2. If he live in Australia, it's almost impossible to participate in tournaments in European time zones.
It is disaster of life pattern
