is it true there's an aoe3 tourney hosted by them for $6.5k or is that a scam?

It's $3.2k in prize money in the way one might typically think when they hear the term "prize money", $300 for "betting and raffles" and $3k if a player manages to win the whole tournament without dropping a map. If you add those numbers together you get to $6.5k. One might quibble with whether this prize structure can accurately be considered a "$6.5k tournament", but the $3.2k is, as far as anyone can tell, real prize money.

If you have questions about the tournament funds, I'd recommend reaching out to the sponsor, ChicksX Crypto and Currency Exchange. You can contact them here: https://x.com/chicksxcrypto on X, The Everything App, or the website formerly known as Twitter.

7. Streaming
A. Each stage of the event the tournament authorized casters will select matches for the purpose of streaming. This may be posted in the PK Tournament V scheduling dedicated forum. It is every players responsibility to check if there match is selected for stream.
B. If a selected match is not streamed; the completed match will be deemed invalid, no points will be awarded. Unless specified by a member of the tournament staff.
D. Only casters that have been authorized by the tournament staff per Section 7.5 will be permitted to stream matches.
E. The players in these matches will be required to schedule their matches with their opponents and with the authorized casters.
F. All streamed games must have a time delay of 2 minutes, unless otherwise specified.
G. If a selected match cannot be casted due to game delay issues after correct measures, the staff reserves the right to have the match rescheduled within the deadline of that stage of the tournament. The tournament staff reserves the right to extend the deadline of the match if deemed appropriate.
H. If an issue occurs with regard to multiple casters, we require that at least one caster be able to cast the match in question. Under no circumstances should a selected match not be casted.
I. All tournament-streamed matches must be recorded; if issues occur after two (2) attempts this rule will not apply.
J. All streamed games must be presented through official PK Clan channels on twitch.tv/pkclan , twitch.tv/pk_chicks or youtube.com/pkclannet unless otherwise specified by the tournament staff.

7.5. Authorized Streamers
A. Chicks
B. Nicius
*If you would like to be an authorized streamer for this event, contact Chicks.

It's awesome to see PK clan guys getting involved in aoe3 community and being so generous to host and fund this tournament. I would just suggest that for casting rules they should follow formats that other rts communities do. sc2, aoe2, aoe4, they have the main channel cast the tournament but also allow and encourage others to stream their event. Obviously you want the majority of viewers to be watching on the main twitch stream, pkclan stream since their hosting the event. It's better overall for everyone if other streamers can also cast some of the tournament. Also it is technically impossible to enforce your rule. Like if a random streamer wanted to cast some tournament matches there isnt anything really preventing them from being able to do it.

Why are you even here? You don't even play the game yet feel the need to continually spread negativity.

my line of reasoning was that people will take an esoc patch more seriously if they're still interested in competitive aoe3
