German Colonial/Long-Term Options

Hi All,

Recently have been playing Germany and I was wondering if their were any viable options to stay Age II for an extended period of time. I know Germany really shines early to mid fortress but what options do you have against aggressive civs? It seems that a cav semi doesn't do too well against heavy infantry builds. However, sending 700w and going pike/xbow doesn't seem to be a good response as well. Is the tower rush still even a thing? Any help would be appreciated. Also, what options do you have if an opponent somehow survives your fortress timing? Would it be best to just continue to go Skirm/WW and hope that they don't out-eco you? Thank you!
