Right now their only strategic option is silk road tower ff or normal tower ff, anything age 2 is just kinda bad because they dont have an economic follow up and their units have been nerfed
they need more versatility.. they are way to predictable.. and their cards are bad. by nerfing janisarry cost they should've compensated and increased the cards 6jans > 5jans and 10-9jans > 8jans.. also why they still have 3 abus cards in age2 and no janissary buff card ??
i would change the abus cards into janisarry combat type card. 10% or 15% buff to jans.. or move janissary combat to age2
Ottos are not predictable, you can scout 400w and you don't know if he's double rushing you or going for a slow boom semi ff. Also if he ages up to fortress you don't exactly know if they're going for a fortress timming or a FI or a revolution.

I've played otto, I know with good scouting you can know what he's doing but they're not predictable, predictable is playing against Dutch and be 90% sure they're going for a semi-ff.

At least that's my perspective playing as main Spain (here better dutch players go naked FF) , Brits and French. They're more reacting to what you're doing than doing a strat.

sorry for my wrong assumption :) . yea but is hard to stop the dutch from doing so.. with otto you can counter them easily i feel. and their map dependency is very real.

most times if you lose your explorer your chances of losing the game goes up by 50% :hmm: . so you cant afford to get nice treasures must keep your explorer at a decent health to build tps.. and you dont have time to properly scout what your opponent is doing cause your explorer is busy doing that lol

Give Ottomans access to a free mosque technology called "Blue Mosque overlooking the Bosporus", which spawns a pond with 4 whales at a location of your choice close to your town center.
Whatever is written above: this is no financial advice.

Give Ottomans access to a card "Land Ships" which allows your markets to train camels (50w each) which can be used to open trade routes to native tribes (up to 4 per native tribe) and gather coin at a continous 0.8c/s, with the gather rate only being affected by plantation upgrades.
