I saw a game vs Breeze yesterday where fairplayer won when idled for a bit as Japan vs his Russia. What is the BO where Japan can deal with rushes?

300w, 5 ashi, 5 ashi ,making clups and nagi works quit well for me, in my experience you can kill the bh most of the time.

I think cm and wall into a few units and then age 3 can work on non stage maps, otherwise 600w 4v with japanese cons and get like 10 yumi 5 club then mix ashi nagi and try to push out at some point

Tori Gates build order works quite well to counter Russia

You don't want to go CM plus make military because then you are not booming and end up behind. CM isn't so great vs strelet, but it's awesome vs ruskets.

I feel like Toshogu ageup is always better than Tori, but that's just my opinion. That being said you can't do kami booming without getting fully idled in this MU.

If you open yumi you can still be gunned down by strelet+cossack shipment unless you have a full wall.

I usually do stable opening vs the usual strelet spam but russia can still adapt into full cossack without much difficulty. You really want to have both military buildings asap and use yumi range advantage whenever possible. Use crate shipments.

That being said I've seen Haitch do successful yumi club opening.
