French vs Aztec, how halberdier converted a game

I did a semiFF and lost 7-8 cdbs to a timing push. My eco are nearly destroyed, and It's impossible to keep up with normal builds: that's when halberdier shines.
But well, is there a better semiFF build to not lose so many vills?

I think you can't age3 vs aztec, if he do so many puma, you dead when you aging. Fb aztec --> 700w,3cdb or 8 elbow, 700g or 3 cav . Vs aztec personnaly, i prefer start with arba and do huss with 700w

Not early on no. You have TC fire, CBD and Huss. Would be if you pushed out without scouting or didn't add any musk until 10 minutes.

I think this match up is quite easy for France (maybe it changed with latest buff as I haven't played that match up after update) but usually you can easily defend with cdbs and bow shipment and azzy is very vulnerable to raids. You don't want or need to go for an age up.
I usually start huss and then add musks and push out once I have a bigger mass, its bow/pike in the end of the day and they just loose to musk/huss. Samwise build is also good option if you think u can get 5 musk and 5 huss.
Also if you have great coats maces will take forever to kill cdbs.
