I went through a phase of using this but can't remember why. When is EZ drag helpful?

When you have military units ontop of your villagers. Advantage you can quickly dragbox select your military and use it while your vills keep working. Disadvantage when you need to pull back the vills, its hard to actually select them.chris1089 wrote:I went through a phase of using this but can't remember why. When is EZ drag helpful?
I cannot play without ez drag anymore. So my vills tend to get slaughtered in these situations

This is why being able to quickly switch between the two would be beneficial.aligator92 wrote:When you have military units ontop of your villagers. Re: EZ Drag Military Hotkey?
Can you actually never envision a beneficial scenario in which dragboxing only selects your military units?chris1089 wrote:I went through a phase of using this but can't remember why. When is EZ drag helpful?
Re: EZ Drag Military Hotkey?
All you have to do is press shift and click on the vil icon where they are selected. Isn't this basically the same as turning easy drag off and on again?harcha wrote:This is why being able to quickly switch between the two would be beneficial.aligator92 wrote:When you have military units ontop of your villagers. @chris1089
If you have EZ drag on, and drag around vils and say explorer, only explorer is selected. Thus if you are getting raided and catching it with some units, you won't be able to select vils near military units unless you click every single vil (as dragboxing would only select the military in that area).

Ye I agree. This is why I don't use ez drag. I'm talking about when you don't have it on.harcha wrote:@chris1089

Re: EZ Drag Military Hotkey?
I don’t like EZMD, but I should probably use it when I receive military shipments. Just never think about it.
