Not sure if anyone uses these themes, since I had no feedback on how many people installed them. So here goes nothing.
Did a quick update to force emojis to have a maximum width of 20 pixels, to avoid the current mess that can be seen on the forum.
This only impacts system emojis, not the forum smileys.

So it will turn posts like this one:

post 1

into this:

Updating can be done in the same way as before:

Go to Stylus, click Manage, click on the dark theme, Ctrl-A and delete all the code there, then go to
https://pastebin.com/raw/ytmC55dB

Ctrl-A, copy all the code from here and paste it in the Stylus dark theme window, and Save.

Then go back to Manage and do the same for the light theme, using the code from this link:

https://pastebin.com/raw/vKh5S1zA

Should be fine now.
I think I did some other minor updates before but didn't publish them (such as adjusting the font for the Like button and other stuff I don't remember). This update should include those too.

Hey, I use the dark theme and wanted to thank you for saving my eyes. Thanks for the update!

Where is my "mark all posts as read" button?
It's also the same in incog mode.

I didn't see your post because you didn't ping. Now that you're saying, I just noticed it too.
But if you disable the theme, it's still not there.
Maybe they changed something in the forum templates.
Yeah, I remember there was like a link under Unread posts which you could click. I didn't change anything about that.

Devs just don't want to fix it anymore or continue with the upgrade imo because it is no longer worth it. Esoc has not been able to fully transform into aoe 4 forum and user usage levels remain low. Meaning the forum is in decline. Revenue sources are also slowly drying up. Unless something significantly changes it's just not the worth the effort to change things for 10 active users.

*Not talking about this specific issue, it could be a forum provider issue also but in general.
Fine line to something great is a strange change.

Surprising. Why did those high-profile AOE3 figures even pull strings to get themselves named "leaders of esoc". I thought they had some kind of business plan, especially given the business experience.

If I were a petal
And plucked, or moth, plucked
From flowers or pollen froth
To wither on a young childā€™s
Display. Fetch
Me a ribbon, they, all dead
Things scream.

It is back now, at least on the official site themes.
Admittedly, I haven't tested @Dolan's impressive custom themes on the upgraded site so there may be other issues there now...

Yeah, it looks broken now. You must have made some new changes to the templates.
I'll try to sort it out as soon as I can.
But not even the current form (of the site without applying these themes) seems settled, there are some uneven things here and there.

Ok, took a while to get all the new mess under control.

The light theme: https://pastebin.com/raw/vKh5S1zA
The dark theme: https://pastebin.com/raw/ytmC55dB

@iron_turtle , @harcha , everyone else who uses these themes (idk who else)

I think I fixed most of the big stuff, so most of the basic things should work fine. There might be some minor stuff that wasn't brought back into line.
I tried to recapture as much as possible from the old simple layout of the site, while still allowing the new features.
The new template updates inserted a lot of visual noise in the site UI, useless info like total number of posts per forum (who needs that lol) and lots of useless timestamps. I kept only the relevant ones, like the time of the last post made.
I tested a bit on a smaller viewport before signing off on this version, so for those who use it on laptops it should look more humane than before.
Didn't have time to do the fancy animated login, maybe some other time.

If anyone enjoyed or found this content useful, you can buy me some tide pods at [email protected] (PP). šŸ§ƒ

If you find anything that fails to work normally, try reupdate first, because I kept finding and fixing bugs after I uploaded.
If that doesn't solve it still, report it and I'll fix it.
