AoE 3 DE on Mac

I am currently sporting a MacBook M1. Pretty stupid decision to go down the Apple-route, but it is what it is.

I am wondering if anyone have any experience playing AoE 3 DE on MacBook with M-gen processors?

I tried playing DE on a macbook air m2 once, was an awful experience. personally i had issue after issue running the game, mostly OOS.

obviously they’re not designed for such use it was just hopeful thinking

I’m playing on an M3. It’s been fine so far. How, you ask? GeForce Now — but only at 1440p, because there’s a scrolling bug in 4K. I haven’t even tried playing the game locally.
