Everytime i start the game and then close it down again all my settings and hotkeys get reset to default and i have to manually change them again. Is there any fix for this?

Two issues

1) Friend has steam i have windows of AOEDE. I have him added when i go to play ranked game. It has me send him invite through xbox and when he try to send me invite it makes him use the steam app. How do we invite each other because neither work.

2) using two monitors on full screen the mouse will go off the game into the second screen solution?

1) I'm afraid it's just bugged right now. You'll have to wait for a fix.
2) There is an option to change that, it's called "Clamp mouse to game window".

Yesteday it happened to me too. After playing 1 ranked game it kicked me starting the second one. Then I tried to play some hosted games with a friend and we only could play one because it kicked me over and over. I have a lot of free disk space too

LOL there is no support for legacy game mate so just buy DE.

You can play but there are very less players there and error 101 mostly means your game code is not working/already used.

There are still a few people playing on legacy. You can try creating the account on the vanilla (no dlc) version of the game, unfortunately named "the complete collection" when launching the game on Steam. You can't create an account on the warchiefs or the asian dynasties expansions. But yes, I would recommend you play the newer DE version.

@lempis You want to try and create an account in the Age Of Empires III base game (no expansions). This is the one that opens by default in Steam when you buy "The Complete Collection". Then you can use that account in The Asian Dynasties expansion.

No, you can private message people from steam, but you can’t add someone on steam from the game, which is stupid.

I had one crash in 4 weeks so not really an issue for me. the not loading into game and stuff stuck in TP is a really common issue at the moment though
