Well I guess United States Law is pretty shit then. Here in Brazil if a software would do something like that it's a won cause, just need to wait the slow justice system to work...gibson wrote:Its not, cause you give the game permission to perform file changes when you download it.macacoalbino wrote:This is going to be one hell of a class action (idk if this is the correct name in english) in the future. I just hope the dev companies will have the money to pay everyone and not have to shut down...
Oh btw, the contract here means shit if something abusive is being done with the terms they impose on you. At least down here that's how it works...

@JackSparrow_IB Does it delete documents as well? I've seen people saying that it does...

That's why it wouldn't be multiple individual actions, to dilute the costs for everyone...harcha wrote:it's not a class action if noone here is rich enough or cares enough to suemacacoalbino wrote:This is going to be one hell of a class action (idk if this is the correct name in english) in the future. I feel really bad for you, but find it very hard to believe this is true. But maybe I'm just influenced by all the DE haters everywhere.

Not that it would even remotely get to this stage ... but you can still build a successful case against terms/smallprint that a consumer has signed.gibson wrote:Its not, cause you give the game permission to perform file changes when you download it.macacoalbino wrote:This is going to be one hell of a class action (idk if this is the correct name in english) in the future. I know there are many reports with similar issues, but do you have any type of way of proving it?JackSparrow_IB wrote:Yes, the game deleted all my documents files, images, download files, works etc...macacoalbino wrote:@JackSparrow_IB Does it delete documents as well? Re: DE auto delete all system files
It is very irresponsible for them to not mention this to anyone at this point, and not taking the step to stop access to the game. Far past disappointing thus far.
Re: DE auto delete all system files
Id recommend people create a restore point before playing each time. Takes about 30 seconds.

I recommend the devs to make a game instead of a virus.

Re: DE auto delete all system files
A good solution is to run it using Linux. Due to how it and Wine/Proton are designed it's literally impossible to mess up your PC playing it.
I'm serious.

Re: DE auto delete all system files
just played few games on ep and holy moly that games feels good
Re: DE auto delete all system files
Opened ep and closed it almost immediately because the game looked like dogshit. Also there was no thrill factor of wondering if the game is gonna delete my OS

Re: DE auto delete all system files
I'd recommend people to consider that there is no way that a 200...500MB worth of a system restore file could somehow backup 40...300GB of files. It's meant to restore operation of windows, not programs or personal data, it won't save the things that actually matter.gibson wrote:Id recommend people create a restore point before playing each time. Re: DE auto delete all system files
Yes, but there was someone who said that it completely fucked their OS. Restore point will help with this.harcha wrote:I'd recommend people to consider that there is no way that a 200...500MB worth of a system restore file could somehow backup 40...300GB of files. All the best games are the ones you need to "restore" from after playinggibson wrote:Yes, but there was someone who said that it completely fucked their OS.
