Well, thank you for your answers, I have bought the game. It is still kinda scary as I use my computer for work a lot and not all files can be backed up. Let's hope for the best

Perhaps it was due to the mods as they say, but I am inclined to think it was due to poor optimization of the game. They will never admit it, but they are using us as beta testers.

It definitely was deleting peoples files, and it wasn't even that rare if one person can get their files deleted 4 times.

Taking a wild guess. EP deleted certain files if you modified them, (basically a low version cheat which even caused crc). I am assuming DE did something similar but messed up somewhere.

Where do you take your data from?

Reported instances of deletion divided by game purchases. In fact it’s far less than .1 percent

Would you take an unnecessary flight if you have a 1 % or 0,1 % chance of dying? Would the percentage really change how you would decide? I doubt it unless it is a number REALY close to zero. I would just avoid such risk unless I would gain huge value by taking it. Why playing a game that can delete your computer files no matter what odds you get...

I did not spread misinformation, the game did delete people’s files...
I do not hate the game, far from it. As I said in another post, I like the Swedes addition and the fact that they took most of EP balance. What I dislike are unethical Business Practices like using us for beta testing, selling the "GaaS" (game as a service) instead of selling the game as a product, etc.
