If I were to take a plane over there to Amsterdam or Cologne, it would cost me the price of a plane ticket. So I think in suggesting those places your not really factoring in the cost.

Technically UN is not located in NYC, in theory at-least UN is independent of US Laws. UN is more or less like Vatican City. Besides, UN has 3 more HQ's around the world, many major branches of UN are not even located in NYC HQ.

In what? A rental?
EU people are simply much more concentrated, so the total travel cost across all participants would be much lower.

When you aggressively state your opinion as if it were fact in a way to rile people up, it's can also be called bait. I'm telling people to handle you, as a poster, as if you were trying to get a reaction out of them, so that they can be more careful about taking you seriously.

Regardless though let's keep the thread on topic.

I wasn't trying to rile anyone up, I just don't preface every opinion with "my opinion is"

Damn, Chicago is a good idea for a meetup. I wonder why this has not been done before?

Besides multiple members living there, it's the train capital of the US and pretty centralized. Much cheaper than flying.
