Could you clarify what would be cleaner and easier exactly? Most apps for a website (that I have) are just the website wrapped into an application.

On some phones you can "add to homescreen" if you just want the app icon on your phone.

I don't know what would automatically become cleaner and easier for an app. It would require that we do all the website work in 3 places. Website, android app, ios app.

And people would still want to use the mobile website version anyway so no time would be saved there either.

On top of that it's not sure that the app would turn out better than the mobile website anyway :)

By cleaner I mean we could get specific notifications on lock screen, not relying on specific browser which generally make things messy when lots of tabs are open.
On mobile it's hard to see which posts are active and recently answered.
Also could you add notification for whenever thread is opened by us. Or something like follow thread.

I've thought about that a lot, and I think the best way to accomplish what you want is making a PWA, but that would require a substantial amount of work I think.
