Hey losers it's time to vote

Since it's been a while since the last maps contest, now is a better time than ever to gauge what has changed in folks' opinion since 2017. This'll be a double elimination tournament between the 31 ESOC maps to prove which map is the community's favorite, with each round lasting roughly 24 hours. Some reasons you might vote for a certain map would be that you enjoy playing it, enjoy watching it, you like the map's concept, you have fond memories of it, or that it has Garja goats on it. My motivation for creating this contest was to gather some metrics to take into consideration for future tournament map pools. Nothing is binding, but the information is certainly helpful.

@edeholland i think the last one i seeded by subjective merit haha, this one i forget how i managed the seeding but there was definitely some rhyme or reason to it. the only spreadsheet that tabulated the metrics from the past showdown into a new seeding that i could find was this , from almost a year ago. but i just copy pasted the order. the fancy cascade stuff to the right would be group pairings if i had chosen to do a survivor format for the contest rather than double elimination.

edit: i remember now, the seeding method that was used in seeding this contest was contained on an old laptop that is now dead. so we are left with this unexplained relic. but i can guarantee it is a pretty fair seeding ^^

Well in every poll like this you could theoretically have a map which could be a finalist, losing in RO32 to the future winner because of the pairing. But I'm sure any possible RO32 will have "sad pairings" anyway

How about — to eliminate the above problem — start off with a poll in which people would mark if they like the map or not. The top half with most likes would advance to a showdown stage.
