I think aoe2 de is what they were supposed to announce on inside xbox before the "programming changed".

Afaik AoE2:DE is already in the process of Alpha stage testing through the insider program, though I am not a part of it myself.

Yeah, it seems quite likely they wanted to say something more about it since they had the Alpha coming soon at that point.
