ESOC Patch Crashing

I've been running the ESOC Patch for many many years now and it's been amazing, I've loved the balance changed and new maps. But up until about 5 updates ago, Really update 6 I think, I will load into the screen were the coin is rotating, then boom... crashes.

Update on the problem: Version 6.0.0.0 works just fine and everything is *click* noice. after that, everything goes downhill.

@RunsWithVodka Are you perhaps using direct launch onto ESO login screen (the option in ESOC Patch Launcher)? If so, can you try whether the game launches successfully with this option disabled?

My ESOC Patch opens normal until the ESOC Patch version 6.0.1.0.exe
ESOC Patch 6.1.0.0 does not open and gives error in this version and above

ESOC Patch 6.1.1.1 not working. (ESOC Patch Launcher open, click "ESOC Patch", start game before load menu game, show error: Age of Empires 3 stopped working

What is problem?

@Patch_BR make sure you are not using a custom ESO UI, in particular check your "data" subfolder in the AoE3 installation location and delete any/all of the following files: uimpesogamelist.xml, uimpesogamesetuppage2.xml, uiMPGameSetupPage.xml

I have the same problem, and i think it may be related to a sound card failure. I have AOE3 with ESOC patch running on a bunch of computers so I can plan with my kids, and the only computer that crashes also gives me the following message after the initial loading screen but before getting to the main menu screen.

The message only appears for a split second before the crash, and the only reason I was able to get a screenshot was because I also get the message when I launch agey.exe directly, without ESOC patch, but with no ESOC patch, there is also no crash. It makes it all the way to the main menu screen that way.

So I'm proceeding on the assumption that, for me at least, it may be because the ESOC patch doesn't handle the message gracefully and just crashes, rather than letting you click OK and going on without sound. I guess I have to diagnose the sound issue on this machine. Hopefully that will fix the issue.

If you have this issue, I recommend you run agey.exe directly. If you see the sound warning message, you probably have the same issue as me. I'll post again if I can confirm the cause or find a solution or workaround.
