How Should Colonial Aztec Deal with Musk/Huss Comps

[span] As the title says, how should the Aztec deal? The main problem is anticav (or a lack of musks really..) for me because coyotes just don't stack up against huss well and even with the combat card they're not great. Puma are expensive, get focused down, and it is far too easy for the musk huss player to feint towards the mace with the huss and then pull back once the puma have exposed themselves. For this reason I've been losing really hard to the Russians and to the French.[/span]

You need to use the cover mode for your pikes before the musks shoot. Coyots can tank in cover mode too and they can catch the huss and slow them down for your pumas. And while he is focusing your pike you can focus musks with maces and they will go down very fast if you split maces correctly

Thanks, this is the reply I was hoping for. Seems pretty micro intensive but I guess i''m just not doing it well enough. I should probably key bind cover/ melee modes.

Thanks, this is the reply I was hoping for. Seems pretty micro intensive but I guess im just not doing it well enough. I should probably key bind cover/ melee modes.

Yeah using hotkeys for attack modes is useful, all the more so when it lags, because you have to spam click the icons 100 times before it works
