Any good player with poor micro?

I feel the importance of micro has increased a lot. Is there any (somewhat) good player that has quite average or even poor micro?

I don't mean someone not having the best micro or focusing on strategy instead of micro. I mean as in:

- barely split micro
- no pull trick
- average at best positioning
- generally suboptimal unit control
- no control groups for units
- basically only use attack move and some manual unit control

Nowadays I feel that aside from some memes (piroshiki) basically everyone pr 32+ (or even 28+) has quite decent micro at least, even if it isn't Kaiser level.

piroshiki has a fine micro honestly. He doesn't use control groups but he uses pull trick and has a decent positioning. His big issue is that he's too predictable.

I'd say Somppu is the guy who has the worst micro according to this list but still, he has :
- One of the best positioning
- He splits his units a lot.

You obviously can't be a top player if you waste your army so you either need a good micro with pull trick, control group and good focus fire or a great positioning.

i think the cutoff is a bit higher, i always use attack move and watch each of my units get it's own idea what to do

You can't be pr 30 without a minimum micro level. What bad micro mean? microing is related to the opponenet micro, if i play vs someone who have -10 pr than me, i will micro better than if i play vs kaiser, not because i play bad vs kaiser but just because he will outmicroing me.

And tbh its depend a lot about what kind of compo you like to do, to talk about myself, i micro better mousk/cav and skirm/rodo than skirm/goon because i don't use goon so often (and i prob use mous/cav to often by the way ).

i found out about attackmove at pr 32... did use crtl groups and shit before that tho
had to do loads of right clicks to not overkill like a madman.
i also never used attackmove for cav untill maybe a year later only because i didnt realize i could attackmove at the last moment

Back in the day there wasnt attack move so I basically forgot about it, then they introduce it but somehow it went over my head. What I did, basically, was control groups and when there was a big fight I would click for the units to move to a point I thought was within range and manually micro each group of units inside a group to avoid overkill. If I had, lets say, 20 skirs, i would manually select around 4 or so and make then attack a unit and repeat it for the whole group, then let them fight alone. That plus constant pressure (my pc couldnt handle the game if it head too many units on the screen and cannons, so I had to try and finish games quickly), plus being confident that I would not lose in a mirror match and much, much later finding out they had finnaly put attack move lead me to pr48 beating players like riut, h20, hope, and some others along the way that people now wont recognize.

On another subject, what is this pull trick? Is it like skir kiting?

When units are ordered to move somewhere in a group, they'll do so in a formation. But to make that formation smoothly, the back units might actually increase their movement speed a little bit (or sometimes the front units slow down). One can abuse this to make units move faster than they normally could.
