Vegans need some supplements too btw, iirc vitamin B12 (maybe @SirCallen can confirm) and possibly iron, so it's not like the vegan diet is the healthiest thing that ever existed. An argument that a kid raised vegan (without supplements) would be a bit shorter on average than a vegetarian/omnivorous kid could probably be made and not even be completely off tbh
