WHAT TO DO WHEN THERES NO TP AVAILABLE IN THE MAP??

1v1 Deck

The Build Order:

Exploration Age:
- Build Mosque
- Build Market and gather 50coin and research Hunting Dogs
- Build House

- All settlers on food
- Explore the map while prioritizing in getting food treasures (remember they will be converted into wood later )

Send 3 Settlers

Age Up w/ The Naturalist (2Settlers + 2 Semi-Fat Cows)

- Continue to gather ONLY FOOD make sure to pull 2 herds (if possible) after clicking in the AgeUp button

*Important*
Send Sublime Porte as 2nd Shipment at around 3:40min mark

Commerce Age:
- Gather the 2cows from age up ASAP before the Sublime Porte arrives (around 4:15min)

When Sublime Porte arrives you should have 1800+ wood

- Build barracks + Houses
- Get all Church techs
- While your settlers still on food sell some food into gold and get Steel Traps (as soon as possible) then move 5 or 6 settlers to gather gold

Remember hunting dogs + steel traps compounded is 30% faster food gathering rate (thats equivalent to extra 3vills for every 10settler on food + the 2 settlers from the age up you basically got an extra 5 settlers on food at 5min) you will make up for the converted food in no time!

I’ve done a lot of testing and I can say this is much better than going the traditional (The quatermaster 400w + 700w as second shipment),
The initial timing of army batch of janissaries or jan/abus will be the same
You will have a significantly better eco going forward because of 2 extra vills + mosque upgrades + market upgrades all under 5min mark.

I think this is really interesting! Much better then the jan all in rush cause u have solid eco behind and the church ups ..... maybe u can add something like spice trade to improve the build

Cool strat! This works better if you send silk road first card and age with 500f instead of the 2v 2 cows. See what Haitch did against kynesie on Dhaka even though the anti-water strat backfired horribly.

I watched that live too! and was surprised he had used sublime porte, but which case he went for a different build though.

He sent silkroad as first card which gives 25% bonus on crates and tps.

that build (with silkroad as first card) is ONLY good on maps with at least 4 TPS (is like having 5 after the card). silk road can also give you an extra 100w when it lands from your starting crates if you didnt gather them fully (you have to leave then with at least 20left). enough to build 2 tps and 1 house right away.

Then he went with a different age up politician to get an extra 625food before converting sublime porte lands to have massive ship spam early.. and yea it was all for nothing the portuguese player did a fake water deck ?

i mean is not the same build at all… It just happens to use the same card sublime porte

I think Haitch's build is better though. Your build relies on steel traps with the worst eco civ in the game which seems suboptimal.

what he did would never work in a no-tp map situation.. silkroad without fast shipments is useless

this build is for no tp maps though.. you still wanna get tps if you have them available.. there are other build with tps for sure.. silkroad is one of them.

if you doubt me .. just test it yourself.. i've tested a lot of variations inclusive of that he did..

Yes because most people most likely won't see the new replays
(idk if you updated text too or just added current patch replays)

Yes i updated the text.. i see most strategies and BO's here (in the "Strategy Wall" section) are outdated/doesn't work or is non longer viable due to patches update/balance changes so i try to keep my fellow otto players with some relevant content

PS. I always thought people go to the Recoded Game Search menu when they want to find records ?? any posted rec uploaded here or any other post will show up there though. you don't see it there?

We can see it through the recorded game search. But who would click on the topic and read that the guide was updated too? Better be safe than sorry and post a new reply saying you've updated the entire thing, just to be sure

The last patch bring a lot of no tp map again in the pool in multiplayer. Is it the same in 1vs1 ?

Currently the Standard Maps selection have at least 2 TPs. However this BO is very viable in team games where is harder secure them. you can always decide to get them with the excess wood whenever possible
